Supergirl

Must be Mon-El in the rocket then.

Maybe I'm enjoying this Superman more than I should after the bitter taste Cavillman left in my mouth, but I'm liking this season so far, with the premier.

Also binge-watched the first season of this on Netflix, and while I saw some problems with it and did get underwhelming at times, don't think it deserved as much flak as it got overall. The previews/marketing for it were crap though which didn't do the show justice, but now that it's on CW I guess it'll do better regardless.

I think Supergirl was one of the best super hero shows since season 1, so I don't know where the flack comes from, either. 😉

And now they've taken it to another level. Funny how the best Supermen of late are all cameo's (Including Lego Batman, for the best video game Superman ever, not to mention the first good rendition. )

Promo of season 2. It looks like the Cousins battle Metallo, and he seems pretty solid at least from the snippets of footage

season premiere was trash

Thats why the rating were better then ever.

Was Flash in the premiere?

No

Its great to see Superman back in action, looks like he is going to be a regular.

Very cool.

Also Metallo is in this season.

Cool, but personally I would have kept him out of the show.

Then you have not watched the episode. It was great having him in their.

I'm not commenting on the quality of the episode. Just that I would have kept Superman separate from a Supergirl show.

Why? It's been years since we seen superman in a series. The last time was Dean Cain.

Is the sudden approval of Supergirl some sort of in joke that I'm just not catching on to. Because I tried watching Supergirl when it aired on CBS and the best episode IMO is still the Flash crossover.

^ The joke's on you clearly. Some of us have different opinions. The Flash crossover episode was alright but wasn't even my favorite, tbh.

Like I said before I tried to give it a chance but there was just too much for me not to like. Prior to the Flash crossover the last episode I saw was the parallel "For the Man who has everything" episode which turned me off the show.

However seeing as how the viewership is better than ever even though it ratings on CBS were in decline for a full month before its finale, I jest that there was some secret I wasn't in on.

Fair enough. Big part of why I like it admittedly is for some of the supporting characters like Martian Manhunter, since we won't be having the likes of him in Synder's justice league in favor of Cyborg and shit, so taking what I can get with some of these live action adaptations. :/

I'd be seeking to establish her as something separate from Superman.

They did that in the first series, I dont see why they cant bring in Superman once in a while. Marvel and DC does this in all their shows and movies. We have never seen a modern day Superman in a show.

To be honest, I wasn't super excited for the show initially either, but I've gotten into it.

I've always wanted to see more of the higher level superheroes, but all the Netflix originals are going with the street folks like Daredevil. For now, shows like Supergirl or Flash scratch an itch that others won't bother to touch.
