Supergirl

I thought the pilot was decent, although there were a lot of things that irritated me I think it can improve and become it's own thing if it makes the right moves.

If the pilot is any indication, a season.

well might be longer if cbs believes it would be much better on the cw

Yeah then Crossover with Arrow and Flash. Although Superman doesn't exist in their world... But hey we got the Multiverse now..

Kind of sad that there's all these DC shows and the DCCU can't be canon to any of them. Hell, even on TV, there is separation of canon between the Arrowverse, the Gothamverse, and now the Supergirlverse, (and previously the Smallvilleverse). Is Suicide Squad part of the DCCU? If not, that's even sadder. Really sucks that the only film hitherto released to carry the DCCU is MOS, which was deservedly polarizing. They can't even rely on the TDK trilogy. I'm honestly more hyped for DOJ than SW:TFA because it HAS to be epic for the DCCU to survive.

The pilot was a lot better than the trailer. II think it has potential. I agree with Nephtys, there were some irritating things, but still I'm hopeful.

It's definitely started better than a lot of the other superhero shows like Arrow, Flash, Daredevil...

Saw the pilot. I thought it was decent, far better than I expected after the first trailer. Still quite a lot I’m not a fan of. Perhaps the biggest is that the big bad is basically a rule 63 version of Zod… Boring. I was hoping for something “new”.

Also not a huge fan of the “GIRL POWAH!” aspect. Just make Supergirl kick ass, it’s really not that difficult. And of course, they had to make the villain misogynist. Not only was it forced, but it was sloppy considering how he is working for a women and is willing to give his life for her.

Hopefully, it picks up as the season goes on. All the other comics shows managed to; so I've got faith

Not a bad pilot. Same formula of story telling as the Flash pilot (can tell it's from the same creator), so I too have faith it will get much better.

So while I'm behind everyone else I finally saw the Pilot episode for this show. Was expecting worse but I hope it gets better and I don't have to deal with another AoS event.

This show was rough, I'll keep watching to see if it gets better but damn. Also why did hyper-man have an axe and why did he lose...

There wasn't even a training montage.

Ditto. I'll give it a few weeks.

A lot of special effects on this show. More than other superhero tv series methinks.

So is this show good?

show suffers from villain of the week syndrome.

also her sister is a weak character...

best things seem to be david harewood and calista flockhart

^ Agreed. It follows the same formula as The Flash, but just doesn't have the excitement of that show. I can see the ratings for this show drop as drastically as AOS did in it's first season.

Flash had a good core villain that was a part of the cast since the Pilot. Supergirl has no such luxury.

Yeah plus no exciting plot. Flash had the whole "why's this Harrison Wells come from the future?" plot going for it. Had that whole mystery behind it.

All Supergirl has is "my evil aunt is alive and wants to kill me"

^ Agreed and to add on to that, said evil aunt doesn't really seem all that important at the moment.

Calista's character is probably the most interesting character in a show about Kryptonians and extraterrestrial happenings. I'll stay tuned, I did it with Smallville and AoS but this show isn't off to the best start.

I have not even watched a single episode.
