Kind of sad that there's all these DC shows and the DCCU can't be canon to any of them. Hell, even on TV, there is separation of canon between the Arrowverse, the Gothamverse, and now the Supergirlverse, (and previously the Smallvilleverse). Is Suicide Squad part of the DCCU? If not, that's even sadder. Really sucks that the only film hitherto released to carry the DCCU is MOS, which was deservedly polarizing. They can't even rely on the TDK trilogy. I'm honestly more hyped for DOJ than SW:TFA because it HAS to be epic for the DCCU to survive.
Saw the pilot. I thought it was decent, far better than I expected after the first trailer. Still quite a lot I’m not a fan of. Perhaps the biggest is that the big bad is basically a rule 63 version of Zod… Boring. I was hoping for something “new”.
Also not a huge fan of the “GIRL POWAH!” aspect. Just make Supergirl kick ass, it’s really not that difficult. And of course, they had to make the villain misogynist. Not only was it forced, but it was sloppy considering how he is working for a women and is willing to give his life for her.
Hopefully, it picks up as the season goes on. All the other comics shows managed to; so I've got faith

Yeah plus no exciting plot. Flash had the whole "why's this Harrison Wells come from the future?" plot going for it. Had that whole mystery behind it.
All Supergirl has is "my evil aunt is alive and wants to kill me"
^ Agreed and to add on to that, said evil aunt doesn't really seem all that important at the moment.
Calista's character is probably the most interesting character in a show about Kryptonians and extraterrestrial happenings. I'll stay tuned, I did it with Smallville and AoS but this show isn't off to the best start.
