Yeah, but going with Routh is cheaper for CW, seeing as he is already a regular cast member (Legends is already one of their more expensive DC shows to do, if not the most expensive). And it's hardly the first time we've had doppelgangers in the Arrowverse.

I've been hearing whispers about how CW may plan to kill Superman off instead of Kara for their version of Crisis of Infinite Earths. While nothing has been confirmed it would be some next level pummeling on Routh's character(s) whom can never seem to catch a break.

but I just hope that this time, the dude gets to punch something.

Singer forbids it.

Routh is leaving the show 🙁

That's a shame. His Ray Palmer character has kind of grown on me, after I initially didn't care all that much for him when he was on Arrow. I'm also wondering how the plot with Zari and her brother will develop. The character swap happened at the end of last season, where she turned into her brother (presumably because of the timeline changes they made in S3), but Zari is also coming back next season as well, IIRC. I'm assuming that whatever changes they made meant that he got the Air totem instead of her, which is why he's the one that ends up on the Legends team.

Doh, I meant S4 instead of S3. Crazy to think even this show is heading into its 5th season. How time flies.

How time flies.

In this case, literally, sometimes.

I’ll miss Routh. Like you said, he grows on you! And don’t even get me started on Courtney Ford.

Still, it’s great he’s getting so much buzz before his exit, he deserves it.

Also, I just noticed a pattern. Nate gets close to Amaya. She leaves. Nate gets close to Zari. Timeline gets rewritten, erasing their time together. Combine that with his rather underwhelming Steel showings in recent times and I am starting to think the writers don't like the character lol.

That’s a good point!
It’s a shame, too, cuz he had some good showings early on.

I noticed the last part of the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover takes place on Legends (Tuesday, Jan 14. at 9 p.m.).
Kind of odd, as they’ve been the odd show out in previous crossovers imo; hell they weren’t even in the last one were they?
Pretty pivotal slot they’ve been given...!

Yeah would prefer if they left Them out of it. But I suppose they had to address head on Routh Superman and Routh Atom co-existing.

That shouldn’t be TOO hard, they’ve had various doppelgängers running around the CW since it started, really.

I really would like to see the two Rouths onscreen together, see how he pulls off the different physicality/demeanor of each character!

^I think Routh is a good enough actor to pull it off.

I do too.
It’s one of the moments i’m looking forward to most!
Well, that and seeing all 3 Supermen onscreen at once.

Might rewatch this a little later
I forgot how many episodes CW shows usually had like 17-18

Well, out of the CW DC shows I still watch, I probably enjoyed Legends the most out of the last seasons. Arrow was not bad, but not great. And I felt like Flash just retreaded too many season one themes, with the noob speedster learning the ropes while being manipulated by Eobard shtick.

Legends pretty quirky and self aware.
I mean, it could have more action and better fight scenes, but I know the money just isn’t there to have these guys use their powers constantly.
Character interaction and humor wise it’s on point though!

I didnt like the last season.

Season 2 was its best season Imo.

First couple of seasons were meh for me.
For as big a Rip Hunter fan as I am, I HATED him in this show.
