"Gah," Galder says, realizing they can't possibly have gotten away clean here. "We need to figure out somewhere closer for Xavier to land so we can patch up the his ship. Otherwise it'll break apart in space and he might as well have gone down shooting."
He will check the charts; he wants something out of the way that will give him and the others time to patch up before the Jedi track them down again.
Jelena sighs as the Spearhead makes the jump and vanishes from her targeting computer, knowing she could have brought it down with a little more time.
She jumps when the hail comes through from the Bureau cruiser, not expecting the comms to clear up.
"Jelena Bendu, Jedi Knight, answering the distress call from Robine," Jelena informs whoever answers the other end. "Your fugitives escaped but we've got a hyperspace lock on them. They won't get far with the state their ships were in."
Wentar begins making the necessary calculations needed to follow The New Beginning's trail should Roan or Xeth give the word.
"I guess what ever was causing that interference has cleared up," he muses to Vera and Denzral when the Bureau's hail comes through.
He joins the communication following Jelena's response, activating the control console's speakers so he and his passengers can contribute to the conversation if required.
Azarl will not relax based off of his feelings. Even though they escaped the Jedi at Robine, they may not escape them again if they track Xavier. He is certain that the others know that, and that Master Rand probably shares his supernatural feelings about it all.
Azarl will try to help Galder pinpoint where they could possibly go.
Alrighty Jedi- you are talking with the comms officer on the Bureau vessel.
They want you to confirm that you got a tracking lock on the target ships. If so, they are offering to hook the data into their galactic surveillance network they use to track such criminals...
-
Not wanting to get into needless specifics, Dark Siders, you have travelled only a moderate distance from where you were before. Hopping to Hoth will take forever at this rate- and besides which, Xavier is losing fuel.
Doesn't look good, Galder. Anywhere you can stop and land for repairs is going to be, by default, somewhere the Jedi could follow you to. They can't be far behind.
You;re going to need a plan B.
"Your colleagues will take care of the fire," says Eller. "You need to think about the future."
(****ing Bureau)
Galder wants to avoid ditching Xavier's vessel, but he certainly considers it. Lacking any larger vessels, that would certainly leave Xavier, Relle, Gallador, and Eller in the lurch.
"Time to start calling the few friends we have, maybe?" Galder supposes to the others, thinking of their pooled resources. "See if the Mecrossans or the Fellowship can bail us out of this? Or if Trax or the Headhunters can somehow get out here and give us a tow?"
Galder thinks a moment more.
"Or we can offer up the New Beginning as salvage to Flotsam One and its annoying droid captain..."
Jelena will inform the comms officer that they did indeed procure a target lock.
"Can you route the network to relay tracking information to us?" Jelena inquires. "It would prove incredibly helpful. We will confront those Dark Jedi on your behalf, it appears your forces need to recoup. No need to risk yourselves further, unless so inclined."
If I could justify it in character I would. That said the Bureau is better equipped, from Wentar's point of view, to handle the clean up planet side while we go after the Dark Siders.
I am fairly suspicious that the comms interference is suddenly gone just as the Bureau hailed us after the Dark Siders leave, especially considering Rast pinpointed the interference coming from planet side and not their ships.
Gallador stares for a second at Eller, gloomily.
"Future which is Adelmo? Have you been in contact with your Lady the last few days? Maybe she could provide some assistance in our escape?"
He ponders how much to tell. Stil, Eller being with them, it is very hard to hide some things.
"We have received coordinates to the place Merik traced the person that ordered us death. But going there seems like desperate choice..."
Can Gallador or Xavier check how close are the Merik's coordinates.
Ush, can we contact Kir Ascar or would our communication with him be traced?
(Isn't Gallador currently too busy fighting fires with Relle to be talking to Eller? 😛)
Xavier looks over to Gallador and if he stops to have a chat tell him, "Gallador I think your current time would be better spent making sure we are not roasted alive."
When he leaves Xavier will look at the ship. He doesn't want to lose his ship it's carried him so many places. On so many adventures.
He takes a deep breath before returning attention to Eller, "When you say the future do you mean the immediate future as in what happens next after we put out this fire? Or are you talking longer term than that?"
