"Well if I thought I could throw my lightsaber that far I would open an airlock and try it!" Andro retorts. Not being able to put himself in the middle of a fight has always been a source of frustration, the few times it has happened. "Besides, how hard can it be? Point it at the other ship and hold the firing stud down. I'd have to hit something eventually."
Gallagher laughs.
"Somehow I think we'd end up shooting a hole in the side of Roan's ship if we tried to do it ourselves," Gallagher jokes, strapping himself in. "Do you feel ready to fight them, if we stop their escape? Yours and my own history with confronting the Dark Side has not gone well, so far..."
Gallagher gives a solemn nod in return, then reaches for his belt and unclips his lightsaber. He admires the pale gray cylinder, its slanted emitter, its bulb-shaped high-hand grip, and hands it over to Andro.
"We've been through much together, Andro," Gallagher says. "I want to exchange lightsabers, as a gesture of trust and comradery, and as a commitment to learn from each other. Will you do this?"
Andro is taken aback by Gallagher's unexpected request. He instinctually is reluctant to hand over his weapon, even to exchange it for another. As a fighter, his life has depended on and revolved around the plain metal weapon he has carried since he was a boy. But viewing himself, and conducting himself, simply as a fighter has plagued him and his comrades lately, and has always hindered the growth of his other skills.
He realizes his friend's intent, and his message, and knows it is a request he should not reject. As a Jedi, if Andro is to carry through on his vow to prove himself more than just a weapon, perhaps this symbolic trade is the next step.
"We have been through some incredible situations in the time we've know each other. You have taught me quite a bit, whether it shows or not." He reaches down, unclips his lightsaber, and hands it to Gallagher. Possibly one of the hardest things he's ever done. Progress, perhaps. "You are my friend, and I do trust you. May this blade keep you, and those whom you defend, safe."
(Aw look at all the good feelings and love being shared cry )
Xavier all of sudden is filled with feelings of hope, friendship, and caring. He speaks to Eller, Relle, and Gallador, "You guys have been the closest things to friends I have had in awhile. It looks like we are in a bit of a jam. It's going to be rough and I don't know what is going to happen. So I just wanted to say... to express that... well did we remember to turn off the oven before leaving the base?"
Right, et's get this show on the road.
I'm afraid non-fliers are pretty much out of luck for this one, though I shall try and make it a quick as possible.
ANH Trench Run music I think!
Each of the Jedi, of course, has their own targeting computer set-up. Feel free to describe it. 70s-style graphics are entirely acceptable.
And so we are off! It's all fairly even rolling for the initial chase- even Xavier lands a bunch of successes to stop a first turn humiliation (I should note, of course, that the attacking Jedi can't overtake their targets, as that's. unhelpful. Xavier flew well enough that none of you had to break, though).
The exception is Xeth- he must have had the least helpful hyperspace exit and has had issues getting his engines up to full speed in the right direction.
Hits scored:
Nexu's Grin- 1 on Paladin- impressive at that range
Spirit- 1 on New Beginning
The Free Flier- 2 on New Beginning
Sunlit Dancer did not fire
New Beginning Turret Fire- 2 hits, which I shall split between the attackers.

Can the Dark Siders keep up their rolling to maintain their distance edge?
Gallador continues firing at the ships targetting New Beginning, keeping his focus. He ignores the pointless, typical bickering from his foolish, yet useful, companions.
"Interesting, something is jamming our communication... Bureau cannot, we distrupted their communication... Adelmo perhaps.... or..." He does not finish, returning to firing the turret.
"Any predictions, Eller?" He asks after next series of shots fire.
