Well, I'm remembering playing with kid hands, so maybe it would be a different experience now.

Buy the pad also wasn't in the most out of the way place. And, it was accurate. The Cube dpad may have been worse then MS's abomination..

I assume you mean the original Xbox controller?

I'm replaying Dragon's Dogma I have yet to see an RPG that has better combat than this game. I'm also trying to get all of the best gear and weapons from Bitterblack Island. Just learned that you are more prone to get specific gear depending on what vocation you choose after defeating Daimon's evolved form. Really wish they'd make another Dragon's Dogma game and add to it by making a larger world and a bigger bestiary, weapons, armor, etc.
Dark Arisen adds A LOT of stuff.

Even the 360 pads. Their "best" pad makes it usable, but the position of the pad and the way it "tilts" as a unit has made me jump when I meant to dash one time too many..

Nah man, the 360 is considered one of the best controllers out there.

But the D-Pad is horrible.

Only for fighting but 95% rest of the games use the d-pad for items and it works perfectly well.

It's probably the best controller for shooters.

You're definitely in the minority of people who give the 360 d-pad praise, as most can agree, its probably one of the worst d-pads on a controller.

No, my point is that it's barely used for anything important. For what it's used for, it works fine.

If your using it for fighters, I would agree.

I use the d-pad on a 360 controller for windows, and it does the job. Not as precise as it could be, but it doesn't hinder me too much in games like MK.

BBI is small though. You know what I mean? Gransys is also small in comparison to games like Skyrim. If both of those companies came together they would make a monster of a game. My main problem with Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen, is the world is too small, the NPC's add very little in terms of interaction compared to a game like Fable, and the Bestiary could have a bit more monsters in it. I mean they could have thrown in giant spiders, ant lion's, man eating slime monsters, hippo griff's, and gave you the option to tailor the way your armor looked. Or it could have been based on character disposition. The best heavy armor in the game makes you look like a bad guy. Just things like that. but I just read that there is a Dragon's Dogma online game that is either in the works, or already out in Japan.

Its already out.

DD2 might get made if it does well on the PC.

Have to agree there...it is bad for fighting games.

Wow. You'd think that if they wanted to do well, that they would have allowed the entire world to get in on that new game that they have. Then again, I used to play DCUO, and it left a bad taste in my mouth once I realized that I was just another mouse on a wheel vying for the unreachable cheese. However DD does nearly everything that I've wanted a game to do in terms of combat mechanics (I really want a Def Jam Fight for NY engine) but this is very close.

Anyone played/playing Xenoverse? How's it play?

I really like Budokai 3, so wondering where to go from here. The Ultimate Tenkaichi is supposed to be terrible, or so they say ("They" being Tenkaichi 3 fans). Burst Limit only goes up to the Cell Saga, and virtually no one seems to like Raging Blast..

Raging Blast 2 is where it's at. The rest are shit.

Ew.

I honestly dunno how you can put Raging Blast 2 above Budokai Tenkaichi 3.

Burst Limit goes up to a what-if story featuring Bardock, and then Broly.

Ultimate Tenkaichi can be fun if all you're doing is watching the fights, the game is PURELY based on Luck, there is absolutely NO skill involved whatsoever.

For once I agree with you.

And cdtm, what about Xenoverse do you need to know about specifically? The character creation is pretty ace. Well not the best, but about as good as it'll get for a Dragon Ball game, and has pretty much the most unique way of having you go through the sagas, etc.
