Freelancer is hilarious at time.

Borderlands 3 For Science game.

Actually kind of fun. I can never get above the high score, only within1 point of it.

Severed Steel.

Playing with a Gamepad, this feels like one of those games you really need keyboard and mouse to fully enjoy.

Was tired then, plays fine with a Gamepad now.

And boy is this a keeper, makes you feel like Neo from The Matrix. Just keep running along walls, diving, sliding, and shooting people in the dick.

Still playing Mafia 3

just got the achievement Baby, You're a Rich Man - Earned $500,000, It should be a progress thing over time with amounts of cash here and there being added up

But nope with it not being fixed up by the dev's Had to do it in one sitting without exiting the game. Glad i had the first DLC installed where it adds the Marijuana business.

Tried Sniper Elite 5 when it came out...deleted it.
Trying it again and it's OK.

But for a game with Sniper in it...there is barely any sniping (unless you want to get detected a million times)

So vsync, on or off for fps's?

I keep it off in most games like Doom, where the tearing kind of isn't noticeable in the environment.

Mass Effect makes tearing very apparent.

Why turn it off?

Less latency mostly. Severed Steel is a very fast paced game, same for Doom.

Mass Effect is less so, but again in that case you get noticeable lag. Not all the time, but occasionally it stutters as you move the camera around.

I honestly leave it on in general. Doesn't bother me either way.

At least for Severed Steel going to keep it off for now.

The game has so many effects on the sceeen the tearing kind of gets lost anyways, and any latency really messes up a run.

It's aweaome the game, but also highly demanding where picking off five guys in a row is kind of mandatory.

Overload, aia Descent 4 in all but name, same team designed it.

On Steam from the Spring sale, but Gog has it now at 75% off.

I don't know, something like this never made me nostalgic for old crt's. To me it just looks like a bunch of shite over the image.

By my memory I never even noticed scanlines on those old sets.

Mafia: Definitive Edition

this is how you do a remaster of an old game from 2002.

This is how I'm playing now.

What can I say, it really does remind me of playing in the 1990's.

Playing Super Metroid. Never actually completed it, it's about time.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky....not having fun with this prequel, Alot harder then Shadow of Chernobyl

might give Call of Pripyat a go.

I remember Pripyat was the best one. More story focused.
Still buggy as shit though.

They seem to be all buggy, Just the nature of the games.

Super Metroid aged surprisingly well. There are some outdated controls, like firing the missiles, but it still feels pretty good to play overall.

It's the only one of the original trilogy that didn't require a modern remake to fix all its issues.
