Marvel Puzzle Quest and Candy Crush:

Don't see the appeal. The latter is pure luck, and the former is endless grinding for slots/cards.

Still playing Oblivion GOTY edition. I have the unofficial patch so it fixes all the bugs the official ones did not. I have mods that make magic more potent and mods that change the level scaling system. This way every enemy isn't the same, and some are more dangerous than others depending on your own level..sort of like how it was in Morrowind. Added some mods that add new birthsigns as well.

You might as well ask why people gamble.

Playing some more Bloodlust Shadowhunter. Can be quite difficult though:

Spent the guts of half a week downloading Phantom Pain. Turn it on to finally play it, and what do I hear? A ****ing Bowie song.

Sad is me.

Currently playing back through Ground Zeroes to get as much stuff as I can to carry over.

To win money. 🙂

That's also why I can't stand slot machine apps. No stakes = don't care.

Playing Final Fantasy IX and Armored Core 1.

Add a new coat of paint, and AC could stand with current gen games (Mainstream wise. I'm fine with aged visuals myself.. Adds a certain nostalgic charm.)

Still working my way up the Armored Core chain.

Also dusted off Twisted Metal Black for a few rounds. It's just as hard as I remember.. Harder then supposedly "hard" games like Dark Souls, by far. But goddamn, is it a fun game.

Beating the odds, people like beating the odds and, as you said, risk.

I'm currently starting Xenoblades X. Lot's of npc talking going on when the game is starting.

XCOM 2 and Wind Waker

I would be playing Marvel Heroes if my CPU wasn't overheating. 🙁

Probably something wrong with the fan or ventilation.

Open the case and see if the fans running.

This happened to an old pc. The point where you hook the power connector apparently was the problem. Luckily, there was a second working point, so was able to hold off replacing the mother board..

Don't get me started on PC's! I feel like I'm years behind. I'm always playing games several years too late, because my PC is too crappy. My PC right now can play games from 2013 or before, but other then that I can't run them.

It was an issue with the CPU cooler and just a general lack of airflow for what I was trying to do. When I wrote the post I was waiting on a new cooler and case to arrive. Case arrived the other day, cooler was yesterday. Only got my hands on some cleaner to get the thermal paste off today. Took me 4-5 hours to transfer everything over and get it set back up, but well worth it.

DEM LOW TEMPS!

Hahaha.

Myself went through a friend mobo, cpu, ram and HDD. It took like two months to get it all sorted out.

All this after I put in a 970 that I bought. And, after all that, the ****ing thing has coil whine.

Seriously though, once you got it replaced, did you find that the last .5 GB being slower was much of a hindrance?

Huh?

Not sure what you mean?

I'm guessing you mean the change in videocard. I had a 670 that was starting to show it's age in the newer games being released. To extend the lifetime of my computer to another 3 years, I thought a 970 was in order.

I installed Crysis 3 yesterday to replay and that 970 has allowed the computer to put everything at very high except for AA at one of the lower options. And once playing, it was pretty buttery smooth unlike my previous configuration.

The GTX 970 says on the box it's a 4gb card, but it's technically 3.5 gb of DDR5 vram and .5gb of slower ram.

3.5 is still a whole lot though, so I was just wondering how you were finding it. Glad it's performing well for you.

I'm still just playing Destiny right now but I think I will switch it up for No Man's Sky when it comes out.

Laptop with an integrated intel gma 4500.

Thing won't even play many indy games properly. 🙂
