Of course not alone, they also need to rethink the entire focus of the educational system and deemphasize test scores and college preparation (notice I said deemphasize, not ignore).

Homicide rates have increased 100%.
32 shootings in less than a month, 9 killed in Baltimore alone.
Well they can sit back and thank the thugs that burned and looted stuff for this. So not only did these people destroy a part of their city, they caused a major swelling in overall crime.
Baltimore police refuse to do their job, in fear of being indicted for unlawfulness.
They abandoned their commissioner for his negative comments said on Fox News.
What did the commissioner say?
This says it all:
So it claims even at crime scenes a cop will be surrounded by 30-50 protesters. No wonder they don't want to do their jobs. Protesting is one thing, but people need to learn to stay the f*ck away from crime scenes. They have to send out multiple units for even basic police work. Yeah, so the people of Baltimore did this to themselves.
So they want bad cops punished, but they also totally want to mess with cops that they have zero reason to believe are bad because...logic.
Oh the protesters "resent" the commissioner implying this is partially their fault. Then stay the f*ck away from crime scenes.
Also the Baltimore DA is a piece of shit. The friggin NAACP gets involved because a cop criticizes a DA who happens to be black? We've officially gone crazy over this issue. It's getting so utterly ridiculous now with the constant cries of racism. What the hell are the cops supposed to do? A guys says it is not fair and cops are being endangered and THAT brings the NAACP out to get involved?

I also love how the sheriff(who is black) says the NAACP has descended into irrelevancy. OWNED.Other police commissioners pay attention: this is what happens when you throw your officers under a damn bus.
Really? Feels more like the US problem is too much cover ups and protection of shitty police officers.

Maybe, just maybe, if the cops did the job they trained, are paid for and took a sworn oath to do, instead of acting like reckless authoritarians who have repeatedly unjustly hurt and/or killed people, often without punishment and seemingly targeting a specific race, maybe citizens would feel that they had proper oversight and could trust them to DO THEIR PHUCKING JOB, instead of feeling that they must provide literal oversight themselves since apparently the cops aren't getting it, since not only is police brutality rampant, but the ones who perform it seem to often avoid legal repercussions, getting paid vacation leaves for murders that a normal citizen who get multiple decades in prison for.
Apparently not only can cops disobey their oath at will, but the ones monitoring them either JDGAF, or hold some kind of contempt or sadistic feel of empowerment and superiority to normal citizens. With great power comes great responsibility isn't just for Spiderman. When people who have the legal right and weapons to kill people start doing so at will without legal justification and often receive no legal punishment, you can best damn believe the citizens will start monitoring these people themselves.
A few bad apples spoils the bunch. Not all cops are bad, but there is so much unpunished police brutality that the good cops are overshadowed by the bad ones, because as stated, the bad cops are performing and often getting away with beatings and murders, meaning that the ones who are supposed to protect us can not only harm us unjustly, but without consequence.
Doesn't matter how high the crime rates or the races committing them, these guys are supposed to unwaveringly uphold the law, no matter what their personal feelings, and those who can't do this and disobey their oath, often in the form of assault and murder, should be just as accountable to the law as everyone else. Instead they can kill at will. That's a scary phucking thought. So scary that citizens will start banding together to prevent it and start distrusting all cops, even the good ones, and especially now where everybody can effectively be a journalist by recording events via portable technology and spread information of these events to the masses via the internet, you can best believe there will be crowds of recording onlookers at arrests.
Instead of blaming the public for reacting how they naturally would, why not blame the police and their government oversight for allowing these injustices to occur? Think that might be a tad bit helpful, maybe? Just maybe?

So wait though I would of thought it would of been nothing but white cops that did this. You know racism and all. That white racist cop sure has a very dark tan.
Also reading a few comments from the article, people seem to suggest at one point a witness said freddy was "throwing himself around the van" while it was moving or whatever, but then later took that back.

Black cops have never gotten a pass, so not really sure what you're talking about.
