Watched Star Trek (2009) again the other night.

It's cringe worthy how future Spock just happened to be on a remote planet that Kirk was abandoned on...

Yes, Nero left him there to watch Vulcan be destroyed but the odds of Kirk running into the same ice cave that Spock's in was pretty sloppy story telling.

^ Was also pretty psychotic of young Spock to leave him on that planet without a phaser. I'm sure young Spock knew the kind of creatures running around there.

Well, he WAS all emotional... Though I'm not sure why the pod itself wouldn't have had a phaser inside of it.
