You really should have talked to your parents first. Doesn't he have family? Honestly I'd back out seeing how friendships come and go. His family should be playing a bigger role in this and it shouldn't be up to you alone. They say you only need one kidney but its more then that... as your body gets older its harder to function because your body becomes uncontrollable over time. You will need it in the future depending on your lifestyle. do me a favour go talk to your doctor see how your body is? If he says yes then its up to you but don't do it because you want to be a hero.. no one gives a ****. If his family would step up you wouldn't have too.
