I'm convinced Goku's nice guy act is masking a deeper rage then Vegeta can ever imagine. With a kid like Goten and the wasted potential of Gohan (Who he only has because Chi Chi tricked him into marrying her), it's no wonder he'e a trainoholic.

On top of that, his rival married a rich ***** and tech expert who doesn't really care what he does, and had a son who's reasonably intelligent. Second best in the universe, #1 at life. 🙂

What's wrong with Goten? xD

Nothing lol.

Well... Only what two more filler episodes until the good stuff begins again.

Or slightly less horrible stuff.

The dubs started on Cartoon Network.

The dubs even worse xD

How so?

I absolutely hate the funimation dub of Dragon Ball.

Actually I just dislike 90% of funimation dubs. Baccano being like one of the only ones I can stand from funi.

Ah. Yeah, that's fair. I still like the DB Funi dub cast to a point, but not nearly as much as when I was a kid. Christopher Sabat's kinda overrated now. I mean he has range, but still think it was dumb having him voice as many different characters in DBZ as he did, looking back. It just didn't feel very authentic.

I take it you were one of the people that was more a fan of the Ocean dub? It had its faults too, but silly censorship aside, it was great in the moments that counted most, before it got worse from a lower budget after returning from skipping the 2nd half of the Namek arc. Brian Drummond Vegeta >>> Sabat's.

Yea my main problem is Sabat voicing like basically everyone.

I love Ocean Dub best actually. Yea, censorship but the continuation it did overseas i would rather watch than Funi. It's not just Brian Drummond, it's Scott McNeil, and Ian Connely, and the different voice actors instead of just Sabat for every male roll lol

👆

Apparently in some interview Drummond said the Ocean dub did voiceovers for DBZ Kai, which I guess they're waiting to release at a certain time. Would be great if they got to do Super at some point too, though not getting my hopes up since they didn't get to do voiceovers for GT.

I would legit try to find and buy Super dub if Ocean Dub did the voiceovers.

When is Cell coming back? You know they plan on it, he's like the most popular villain in Dragon Ball, they'd be fools not to.

Damn straight. Drummond was awesome.

"You should know better then to oppose Vegeta!"

"That it IT! I don't need this stinking planet! I'll blow the whole thing up! YOU HEAR ME, KAKAROT, EARTH IS FINISHED!"

That dub was corny as hell, but that was part of the charm. 🙂

Next episode maybe. If spoilers are right.

Anywho, if Cell does return, I hope it has a better lasting impression than Frieza's. Frieza may be the most effective villain and all, but my enjoyment for him as a character tends to be more limited when he often has that annoying spoiled rich kid type personality and stuff.

Early manga translations suggest that Goku/Vegeta no longer gain noticeable zenkai boosts because their biological potential is already actualized. That's why Black, who had Goku's body but not his experiences, was able to get power boosts by "rediscovering" that potential through battle, or something to that effect.

That clears up why Black was getting zenkai boosts but Goku/Vegeta weren't, but it also means that the only way for them to become stronger from here on out is to slowly improve through training, or come up with another transformation. Also makes me curious as to when they reached the point where zenkai boosts became obsolete; the fact that they stopped being mentioned after Namek, and that additional transformations became recognized as the best way to become stronger, makes me think it was probably earlier than later.

Yeah, Perfect Cell's power boost was the only time a zenkai happened after Namek in Z. That would explain everything with Black though, yeah.

That also implies Cell has a capload more potential to tap, getting huge zenkai's long after Goku/Vegeta were played out.

With that plus Freeza cells, he'll probably vault well past Freeza's already unpecedented gains.

Well, Cell's case it's not really that much different from Black's. I don't think it's like zenkai boosts stop once you reach a certain power level, but rather that the zenkai multiplier caps once you've accumulated a certain amount of battle experience w/ Saiyan cells. So Cell, who was already far stronger than Goku and Vegeta at base, probably could have ascended far higher if he had more time and an abundance of strong opponents.

Cell probably could have become the strongest non-god DBZ character, left to his own devices.
