So Vegeta's SSJ briefly surpassing Goku's SSJ3.
(Assuming pl are not bullshit) wouldn't this imply Vegeta has a much, MUCH higher base potential then Goku? And that he's simply never been motivated to tap it yet?
If a SSJ transformation simply multiplies a base pl, then that would mean Vegeta's base pl would have to spike DRAMATICALLY when Beerus slapped Bulma. The same way Gohan's pl kept spiking during the Saiyan and Freeza saga's.
It makes sense that Vegeta should have a lot of potential compared to Goku, given that he's a high class Saiyan who started with a much higher pl, and should have a much higher "cap" then him.
This is why Freesa's dramatic spike also makes a kind of sense.. He started with a base so high, he never even thought of improving on it. So making the gains he did with the level of untapped potential he had works out (Even if Toei and Toriyama didn't really plan it that way..)
