He said fighting Roshi was exciting him, and he wanted to fight him more... That's pretty much saying that Roshi is up there with the strongest people he's fought..

And right after saying that he one shots him. He ended the fight when he wanted too. Lol...if anyone knows Goku and I feel like you do...he does have a habit of not going all out in the beginning. It's just what he does.

But he only ended the fight by destroying the talisman. Roshi was pretty much fine after. And of course he didn't go all out, he wasn't even ssj. But we saw how easily and nonchalantly he took the talisman off Tien's students. And Goku doesn't get excited about weak fights either. Granted he will bring himself down to people's level that are weaker than him but Roshi's at least on par with Krillin. And if he had been in his right mind might not have let it end with just a simple kamehameha.

The tailsman was destroyed AFTER Roshi was koed.

Lol...Frieza nearly killed his son and Goku still went in holding back. Frieza killed his best friend and Goku still went in holding back. I'm not naming all of the times he has done this because it is too much. He could've killed Kid Buu as soon as the fight started but he held back. Vegeta tells us this is Goku. Goku kid around in combat. These are villains I am naming. Imagine his mindset against his best friends.

Roshi might be on par with Krillin but you all using Goku as a determination of their power levels are, not so smart. Hell, right after Goku fought Roshi, he still went to Tien to join the battle. He skipped right over Roshi until Roshi himself said he would do it.

Roshi wasn't knocked out, he even talks right after the talisman disappears. And then jumps up after Tien mentions the tournament of power, and the money, Gokou didn't go to Tien after fighting Roshi and say anything about the Tournament.

Gokou wasn't holding back against Freeza, he just constantly showed mercy. There is a difference there. And he didn't hold back against Kid Buu, he just couldn't gather the energy he needed to destroy Kid Buu , which probably wouldn't have worked anyway. They constantly underestimated Kid Buu's power. Kid Buu was the one holding back in that fight.

On a different note, speaking of Freeza... There is rumors that he is going to join the Tournament of Power for U7, and replace someone... I so hope this isn't true...

Tien also made it seem like he didn't want to hurt Roshi. Listen to what he say before bringing out the other arms. Also, Roshi is like Piccolo, he is always training. ALWAYS. So we have no idea on how powerful he is or has become...especially considering his size during that battle with Goku.

Never seen Roshi train ever. 😆

All you ever see him doing is lounging around his island, looking at dirty magazines or harrassing women.

It was stated in this episode that he was training in secret.

Training alone?

Roshi would need like 15 different masters to even approach Chiaotzu's level.

Tori really does whatever he wants these days.

And besides, Carver was implying Roshi clearly trains all the time. That's certainly not clear from anything I've ever seen, and even the "training in secret" excuse is a far cry from establishing him as a training fanatic.

Vegeta, we actually do see train non stop.

Toriyama wanted Gohan as the hero. Having him vault over Goku and beat all the angels at the end of the series might be his final "screw you guys" to the fans.

What baffles me in which case is the inconsistent direction they've given for Gohan, making him a joke again for awhile. Then again, Piccolo was once said to be Toriyama's favorite character and he was still eventually thrown under the bus also.

To be fair, the anime has always taken a lot of liberties with power scales. The manga is a lot more of Akira's vision. Because Toyotaro has said that Akira makes him change things that doesn't fit with Akira's vision of what's going on and gets his approval every month with the storyboard before making anything official. Going by the differences in the manga and anime so far, Toei probably has less restrictions or uses Akira's input a lot less besides the general plot of what is going to, or needs to happen.

Roshi was laid out.

Goku did hold back against Frieza. Goku said he could've killed Kid Buu during the beginning of the match. He exerted energy throughout the fight which led to him not being able to achieve what he said.

You're thinking of anime filler (i.e. nonsense about wanting to give Vegeta a try). In the manga, Goku said he had been trying to reach SSJ3FP the entire time but Kid Buu was simply too tough. Then when he had a full minute to rev up, he realized his living body simply couldn't maintain that much power

Roshi was pretty much fine.. he was knocked down, and was up being just fine seconds later. He didn't even get knocked out, just knocked down.

Gokou said he'd been trying to kill Kid Buu since the fight began, he just couldn't gather his energy too. He needed a minute, and Kid Buu wasn't giving him the chance to do so. Cause Vegeta tells him to just finish Buu off. But again, there is zero proof full powered Gokou could have killed Kid Buu anyway. Buu wasn't even being serious against Gokou, nor was he really being hurt by Gokou.

Is it ok to talk about leaks here?

since there's a twist that is going on lately right now.

Maybe I'm seeing things, but did Goku really use instant transmission in this episode to intercept Roshi's kamehameha?

I heard rumors of possible team member switch, that person is surprisingly might be a wished back Frieza. It would look awesome to see him get pound upon by timid female sayain like Kale. I hope cauliflower gets her own time to shine, like powering up to ssj2 and her opponent probably going to be #18 and Krillin.

He used it to jump in front of Roshi's Kamehameha.

Oh yeah and Frieza joining the team is truly asinine. That's something you'd expect out of a fanfic. That's MASSIVE CIS even for Goku. Looks confirmed though, lol.

They should just get Future Trunks. Or go to his time when they lose.
