I think he did it to stop the blast from destroying the ring.

Yep. That is why Jiren expanded the blast... to take out the ring.

Good episode.

Next episode is base Vegeta vs Jiren... lmao

Watching Vegeta fighting on sheer willpower will trigger Ultra Instinct again...this time, Mastered. And Jiren will know the fury of Son Goku. 🙂

Also lol @Frieza

Punk *****.

Freeza's role in recent episodes is to briefly attack and then be KO'ed, be forgotten, till he wakes up and does the same thing over, and Ko'ed once again.

#17 is waaaaaay beyond SSJ3 tier.

So he bases everything on strength. Heard that before and heard it better

I can't believe that 17 is gone, like that. I mean it's a great way to go, canceling out the huge attack from someone as powerful as Jiren. But that was even more sad that Roshi's near death... Dude goes out with a smile and a quip to protect Goku and Vegeta for the last time out of the five thousand times he's saved everyone..

"I gave up on my wish for the cruiser".
lol

With how 17 went out like a champ, I'm not even mad now that he lasted as long as he has. And yeah, Jiren's backstory is nothing we haven't seen before, though I like what it leaves to be explored with a potential future villain.

Can't really complain about the next ep. Vegeta got to do as much as fanservice would've allowed him for the tournament, since he's not the main character. Just glad the doomsayers who said he would only get shit on were proven wrong.

Oh, as for Frieza, while his appearance was just another repetition of him being a punk that was put in his place, we kinda needed to see it as clarification/confirmation that he was still around somewhere, as him disappearing in the middle of the last episode with Toppo was kinda odd. Definitely got something planned for him, as redundant as here's getting here. The lack of additional power-up for him after Vegeta getting Ascended SSJB is still pretty meh though.

Should have just let Frieza remain lying down. Him lashing out like this is making his potential win more along the lines blind luck than machiavellian genius.

lol Freeza is going to win this shit I've been saying it for a while now and he's going to revive every universe ever wiped which will basically make him Thanos/Doom
its the only logical reason to bring him back and extend his character arc

Wow, they really did it. They really managed to make Jiren's character worse than the literally nothing he was before. Bravo.

So Goku is Superman

Jiren is Batman

Dyspo is the Flash

Piccolo is Martian Manhunter

17 is Green Lantern

Vegeta is Wonder Woman

Super Dragon Balls even have the power to grant you a trip on a cruiser. I bet everyone would wish for that. 👆

17 went out like a champ even though I think it was kinda dumb that he was the one who managed to hurt Jiren after all the shit he has taken....

Next up powerless Vegeta gets beaten into a pulp for a whole episode...then gains mastered Ultra Instinct....oh wait...

The most interesting part was that evil-doer.

Good episode and we may have been introduced to another potential enemy.

Pretty sure Toppo would be Wonder Woman, in that case. Vegeta is more like Zod... Also, wouldn't #17 be more like Cyborg than Green Lantern?

In any case, who would Hit be, then? Captain Atom, maybe, although it's something of a stretch.

Vegeta is too cucked to be Zod at this point...wonder woman suits him just right

17 now all of a sudden is creating green shapes and barriers and shit now so he's basically a GL

Toppo being wonder woman is interesting..he basically tried to snap vegetas neck with those hakai's
