Keep in mind this is a Thor less powerful than when he has the hammer, and still, their fight goes the way it does when Thor turns it UP.

It was outright said by Odin that
Spoiler:
Thors power comes from him, not the hammer. It is simply a tool to help control that power and also grants him the ability to fly (even though he kinda does without on the rainbow bridge).

Supported by comics as well... clearly inspired by this scene, imho:

Lol, oh boy, the times they are a-changing....

Mjolnir is just a tool to channel his power but Thor with Mjolnir > Thor without Mjolnir is pretty conclusive. Even in the movies. An indestructible hammer that can fly independently at super sonic speeds and block almost anything and channel energy?

The main difference is that 90% the time when Thor doesn't have Mjolnir (Such as in Thor: Ragnarok), he's pushed over the edge or REALLY pissed. If Thor had Mjolnir and was in the same (I don't care if my enemy lives or dies) mindset or fighting something that isn't mortal? Well, we saw what happened to the Frost Giants in the first movie...or the Destroyer.

So more accurately: pissed off Thunder God Thor with Mjolnir > pissed off Thunder God Thor without Mjolnir > Thor with Mjolnir > Thor without Mjolnir

I can't wait to watch this movie. Curious to see how the fight goes. From what I've heard Thor

Spoiler:
takes a ridiculous beating from the Hulk the entire time without going down as he's trying to calm him down and the moment he goes super saiyan, he turns the tables. If Hulk can't beat Thor without Mjolnir BEFORE he even realizes he doesn't need his hammer? Oh boy.

Now let's just wait for Infinity War were Thor is once again nerfed so that Spider-Man and Black Panther don't come off as useless fodder next to him.

Whatever, Batman lasted more than 10 seconds against Doomsday with a grappling hook. Logic isn't a factor.

Yes. But logic (and film feats)

Spoiler:
say he can hit harder with a lightning charger hammer than a lightning charged fist
. is my point.

Couple quotes about the fight I read

Spoiler:
"Thor vs. Hulk was exciting to see and one of the best CBM duels so far. I am very surprised they showed Thor outright winning. He was about to KO the living f*** out of Hulk before the Obedience Disk was turned on again.

Hulk wasn't as strong as he should've been but it was after all Thor's movie and story."

"I thought it would be much more even. Including Thor's Super Saiyan exploits later in the film, I think he has been shown to be demonstrably superior to Hulk when all his powers are engaged now, until we see more in further films from Hulk."

Like I said, the movie LEGIMITATELY ends the debate. There are no longer needs for MCU Thor vs MCU Hulk threads. There is a canon superior

That's good then, and as it should be. Hulk should comfortably beat Thor in a pure physical rumble, but it really doesn't make sense for Hulk to still win if Thor was to use his full powerset.

I always found it silly how, almost every time they fought in comics, Thor had to resort to fighting like a dumb brute even though he's always shown decent tactics when fighting more powerful opponents.

For some reason a long time ago Marvel decided that Hulk was the more fan friendly character, so he gets the bigger push. Hell, these days comic Thor is being treated like sh!t for the most part.

Logically, given their power-sets and skill showings, fights between the two should be an epic stomp in Thor's favor.

The did make out Thor to be Hulks punching bag for a long while.

The animated battle in Hulk vs was a huge pile of shit.

FFS they made Wolverine put up a better fight than Thor in that film.

Because Wolverine is another character they've decided is a fan favorite and thus they must be pandered too.

DC does the same thing, mostly with Superman and Batman.

In the Marvel comicworld, Wolverine is the most wanked character. Followed by Spiderman and then Hulk. They end up accomplishing stuff they have no business doing (Spiderman vs. Firelord anyone?).

But... they're nothing compared to how ridiculously wanked Batman is.

As "tough" as Wolverine is, almost any character that has an actually useful power should be able to beat him fairly easily.

Edit: That goes for both Batman and Wolverine.

Hulk will always be stronger than thor forever

Stronger does not mean more powerful.

Says who?

Brock Lesnar is stronger than Cain Velasquez.

Cain destroyed him.

To make it somewhat movie related, Brock is stronger than Prof X. I'd love to see him make a argument for Brock to win even 1/10.

😂

Oh, you're gonna get a proper pounding.

No it does not. Especially not if you come up against a more powerful opponent. You can be the strongest man on the planet, ain't gonna help you in a fight if your opponent shoots you with a gun.
