All rebels get wiped out at the end of a loop. The One is allowed to chose 23 people FROM the matrix (hence the stories of the man who freed the first of “us”).
The machines need Zion to survive, otherwise, what would the Architect use to blackmail the One to choose the Source? That is the easiest solution. Create a myth, a legend, a religion, a prophecy even of a One that will end the war. Then make sure the anomaly returns to the Source.
If Zion was part of the Matrix, 1 % of its inhabitants would reject that world, too. None have done that. The Matrix only works if people accept it even if it is only on a nearly unconscious level. And 99 % do so.
Agent Smith hated, amongst things, the smell. It’s probably not better in the real world. He wanted to access codes to end the war, too.

i reckon we should all stop trivialising over the conclusion to the trilogy because for all we know the wachowskis could just give a relatively straight forward 'hollywood' ending to avoid people leaving the theatre scratching their heads. i reckon the more we are delving into the possible outcomes we are just confusing each other and might enter the theatres with many misconceptions and spoil the whole experiance for ourselves

Freedmind_Tom, you are wrong. because if you check the official website for The Matrix Online (TMO) it says that it happens AFTER Revolutions, and the Matrix is still up. It is also up to US to COUNTINUE the war, to end the Matrix. So, at the end of Rev, the Mtrix is still up and the War countinues. all these movies have been leading up to this HUDGE game that can almost only be played online, and is one BIG HUDGE MOFU CITY were about 1 million people will be able to play there at ounce. Also the game will cost like what 80$ CANADIAN and you will have to pay like what 10 to 15 $ CANADIAN (i am just saying candian because it is much easier for me) to play each month? WHAT THE FU*K IS THIS? With Jedi Outcast or anyother thing that can be played ONLINE you don't have to pay. Wich is why I propose a pitition. like 5000 names and then sent to the Wachowski Brothers.

Im really surprised as the Brothers for not finishing the Story on screen.

HONESTLY, I firgured out a Way they can end the movie AND Free every living being from the Matrix. Destroying the Matrix makes know sense, as you'd kill all the people in it. But if you free all the people in it, I see no real reason why the matrix has to be destroyed, just as long as people are in control of it.

But it would take some time to get everyone out, an hosptalized as Neo was. But it would be the Only way.

And if the Machines end up destroying Zion, Why don't they just move to the OTHER Zions there were before. Because there HAS to be other ones, at diffrent places, because if they always lived there then they would know that there were More then 1 Matrix before.

2problems with freeing everybody:

1) Where would they live? Ok they could live in the tunnels if all the machines where destroied.Not very nice though.

2) what would they eat?They are to many.

There are more then 1 zion, the other ones where the other people lived during the other Matrixes, they have to still be there yet not at the same place. Because if their would only be one, then the people would know that THEy did not make it so there was a past civilisation of some sort.

Ah. Got it. The other Zions where destroied. Nothing was left (I prosume ) because if something was left they would have found it and known there had been other Zions.

morpheus' speech to neo in m1 proves what the archeitech said at the end of the second film when morpheus is telling neo that there was anouther 'one' and it was he who free'd the first of us.

True but I think that by that, when you die your digital self code is still somewhere in the Matrix. so Neo could of accuieredit somehow.

Also, whats to say (is it in this thread or what?) that in the OTHER Matrixs the humans did not start another A.I. and it happened to them in there? It is quite possible to me.
