Bishop holds every single advantage in this fight (with powers on) and he's also an amazing fighter. Hell, he sparred better against Wolverine than any top tier Martial artist I've seen.

He has studied Wolverine, that is why.

He actually holds Wolverine in high regard:

Every advantage, other than strength, speed, durability, etc

Fighting skill, agility, stamina

Don't think too many people know about Bishop.

Lol then enlighten us of these pure h2h feats that outshine Cap's.

Yeah, i'm not trying to be dickish but thats going to be a long wait.

Powers on the fight us more interesting but thats about it.

Powers on, he will barely absorb anything, not enough to matter...

Again, it's not Strong Guy or Shaw we're discussing about here. Like Kris said - IF he does have kinetic absorption feats, then it's def not many + inconsistent as hell.

If he DOES have those kinetic energy feats that can best the likes of Cap, then once again, here we wait for those scans. Just a reminder, Cap took what freaking Gambit threw at him and beat the brakes off him.

Cap, the guy who did this to THE premier energy absorber/nullifier:

Few writers have tried expanding his powers, like the time when he was meditating outside and absorbing the snowflakes that came in contact with him...

Bishop's mutant ability enables him to absorb all forms of radiant or conductive energy that are directed towards him and to release that energy from his body. This power is passive, allowing Bishop to absorb energy at all times.

When he releases the energy, he can release it in many different forms, usually as concussive blasts of biokinetic energy, even amplified compared to the absorbed amount.[37] Bishop can also store absorbed energy within his personal reserves, whereupon the energy increases his strength and recuperative abilities, as well as affording him a measure of invulnerability.[38] He is also able to absorb magic energy (as seen when fighting "growing men" in Limbo) and the psychic energies of psionics as easily as all the other kinds.[39] This does not prevent him from being read or manipulated by a telepath but only sustains him and helps him to slow them down. It has been clearly stated that Bishop is also able to absorb and process kinetic energy similarly to Sebastian Shaw, but in a much less effective way.[40]

His powers make it difficult to harm him with energy-based attacks; however, he can become overloaded from absorbing too much energy, though his upper limits are unknown, even to himself; when Rogue was suffering a power overload after absorbing Skrull telepath Z'Cann, Bishop was pushed to his limit simply by grabbing Rogue as he tried to help her drain off her excess power.[volume & issue needed] He is partially vulnerable to non-energy weapon attacks. If he were to be shot by a projectile weapon or hit with a crowbar, it could harm him. He carries guns that fire laser beams and plasma charges, and through which he can channel his personal energies.

He can "let his spirit go"[clarification needed] as seen in X-Treme X-Men Annual #1. It's unknown if this is a mutant talent, or an ability taught to Bishop sometime in his life[citation needed].

He has also demonstrated the ability of instinctively knowing where he is and the present hour and date even if asleep, first mentioned in X-Treme X-Men #1. Although being the great-grandson of Gateway, a mutant possessing extensive dealings with time travel, this aspect is not one of Bishop's mutant powers. Bishop's explanation is that due to training, he knows where he is at all times.[41]

Bishop is a highly athletic man, an excellent hand-to-hand combatant with many years of armed and unarmed combat training, and a superb marksman with firearms. When he first came to the modern era, Bishop carried XSE guns from his time that fired laser beams and plasma charges. He also wore his XSE uniform, modeled after X-Men uniforms, which contained body armor.

His current right arm is a prosthetic, stolen from Forge. A nuclear powered battle ready arm, incorporates in its design a time-travel device, the ability to channel his energy blasts through, and enhanced strength and resilience.[42] It has since been destroyed after Bishop tried to use it to time travel from 6700 A.D. to 2010 to kill Cable and Hope Summers due to Cable tampering with the time travelling device within it.[43] His real arm has apparently been re-grown after he was healed in the future by the remnants of humanity.[volume & issue needed]

From wiki.

Basically, if Bishop doesn't start with a decent amount of energy stored in his body, he's screwed. And he does NOT prep himself like Shaw does - who lets his men beat up on him and hits the walls to build up the energy reserves.

My opinion has nothing to do with absorption. I'm basing my judgement cleanly off of his showings. Bishop is a legit class 50 with high end durability and superb fighting skill. Everyone and their grandma knows he can only absorb energy attacks. He isn't Sebastian Shaw or Strong Guy (who can only absorb so much before his heart gives out on him). He still stomps here though.

Erm....he doesn't start out like that, does he?

^lol Cap is a horrible matchup for Bishop.

Bishop absorbs a punch to the face and gets knocked out in the process.

Do post the scans. Or at least give the issue number or the comic title.

But anyway... it's a safe bet he did that either thanks to his bionic arm - which he does NOT have anymore - or he had some decent energy reserves.

Bishop has a robot arm to right which guy him some strength in Captain America level?

He lost the arm.
