This whole game she never goes back thinking about what happened with Joel, not wondering if she'd made the right call. The guy felt he was in the moral right saving a kid that didn't know an operation would kill them like she feels in the moral right to kill him out of vengeance. Nope, she's always in the right, what even is doubt. Revenge good for her, bad for Ellie like someone said. Ellie wants to go avenge her dad but the story makes her out to be the villain doing it and her friends leave her 'cause she cray cray. Meanwhile here's good fun ol' Abby laughing & joking with HER friends after game of golf, playing with dogs not killing them like Ellie that only Ellie does. A loving giant this one. GTFO outta here with that.

Forget to mention she's a hypocrite? She's so mad at Ellie not walking away, forgetting and moving on. Did Abby? You'd think she of all people would know better what was gonna happen from there on when she let her go especially after such a traumatic experience watching her father figure get bludgeoned and literally spat on BUT NAH if Ellie was looking for revenge, it would just be selfish for her doing so right? And because she's so in the wrong, she has to let Abby go 'cause Abby good doing the revenge that for others is bad!

But no, it's totally 'cause muscles are scawy. If it didn't strike anybody yet, we've been having muscular women in videogames already. Chun Li and Samus anyone? "But they're sexualized!" you whine. Ok so where's their sex scene like Abby got? That's what I thought.

And the difference between Chunny and Abby is that Chunny is an anime muscle woman, which is to say a woman who simultaneously has a lot of muscle definition (depending on game and writer) while also having big fat **** to satisfy coomers.

Titties are fat, so getting ripped while also having cow **** is very difficult without implants. Might be impossible actually, can't find a muscular woman with natural-looking breasts.

And maybe I wouldn't shit on people whining about Abby being more muscular than they are if they weren't whining about Abby being more muscular than they are. 🙂

And that's another thing I wanna get back on: the Joel scene. It was a rushed job. It could've been saved for the ending or somewhere close. We could've had adventures with Joel longer. Abby apparently didn't know she was even next to Joel 'til Tommy blurted his name out so this could've been used for the two to meet time to time still not knowing his name on another journey he could've had with Ellie again and when the adventure is done and she knows who he is, then you would've had THAT part built up better because she wouldn't know she befriended her sworn enemy this entire time making the scene more suspenseful if she was gonna do it or not but because she does it so early in the story, you can care less about her reasons because it's too late, she already looks like an @$$hole.

Look at those other characters in the video. They all had better sendoffs. Compared to Joel's, it felt like a straight "**** you" message. I'm sorry but is what it is.

Why does she look like an *******? She is a teenager when her father gets murdered by somebody. Also, Joel takes out the entire base of Fireflies...all of them are most likely her friends. The game clearly tells the player how much shit Joel has caused within her group of friends (all of them ex-fireflies).

She knows his name but doesn't know what he looks like. She only knows Joel is with his brother Tommy because a trader (or something like that) tells her that. She goes to Jackson, was willing to interrogate anybody from the two in order to find out who he is.

She gets lucky that she runs into him during one of his patrols.
I understand the frustration with Joel being killed early in the game but the game was always about Ellie and Joel's death gives a perfect reason for the game to continue her story and put her in a different location.

Let's not forget that Joel is not a good person. The first game repeatedly shows Joel being a dick, killing hundreds of people and how he has murdered people in his past. He drops the Ellie off at the hospital, murders more people and then lies directly to Ellie's face about what he has done. Also, the Last of Us world is a cruel and depressing place...Joel dying like that makes sense based on other cruel deaths that occurred while playing the first and the many notes you find throughout the game.

It would be silly if Joel gets a nice sendoff.

See, that's something they could've changed to be something else. Like maybe have her go into Joel's society and wait one quiet night to get him. To magically get your target to show out of the blue like that? How convenient!

The story made Ellie out as a villain is all it did. She's painted in a very negative light. Abby gets to try making a happily ever after out of her revenge plot acting all chill after her deed but Ellie has to be miserable from trying to seek revenge too, winds up looking like a savage pushing out loved ones, being made to take her L in the end.

Yes, Last of Us is a cruel and depressing world and Joel did what he had to survive in a post apocalyptic setting full of shady people and he couldn't let Ellie die because 1. she didn't know she was gonna die so screw that and 2. he didn't want to go through the feeling of losing a daughter a second time. Dude had problems but for Ellie, he believed what he did for her was in the right. As for him lying, I don't deny that moment being selfish of him doing there. It definitely looks like in the sequel she would try to forgive him anyways so we can probably confirm she doesn't want to die.

Recently beat it. This game was great. There were some legit quality horror sections in this, and it was miles beyond the first gameplay wise (which I hated). 👆

Yeah people act like Joel is some dandy dude in the first game, he is not a good guy. He does some horrible shit and then lies about it. The thing is the game did a great job making the player empathize with him regardless so we still like him despite all that. But when you consider the stuff he did, he does not deserve a happy ending. Really none of the characters in the game do, besides maybe Ellie, but I haven't played the second game yet so I don't know what kind of monster she turns into.
