It's alright man, you don't have to apologize for something you can't do anything about. I was more wondering if you had any idea about what the source of the issue might be.
I don't expect the Australian government to do anything about it as they're not responsible for the behaviour of every Australian abroad and neither are you. I just think we should be able to ask these kind of questions, without people getting offended.
I myself am Dutch and I always get crap from people because Dutch people tend to haggle and negotiate over prices when abroad. I know this is a stereotype and doesn't apply to all of us but I also know there's probably more Dutch people that do this than say Australians or Americans, because haggling is part of our culture but might be seen as annoying by people from other cultures. So I don't get offended by people mentioning this because I know that despite the fact that I don't do it, a lot of Dutch people do.
