they can detain you without question
if you apply for a university application they are flagged ad your personal details are managed

Not sure about the latest consoles but die hard Aussie gamers could get mod chips easily but illegally installed into the consoles then order any banned game online from overseas. Or pirated games from China Town. Guy would show you a list behind the counter, you'd pick what you wanted then he'd go to his car & bring back the pirated games.
