Okay some seem to thin it's more about patriarchy. I thought it was more about race. With implications droids are slaves, questions about rights and "not serving my kind".

It really doesn't matter what social issue they're trying to champion. Star Wars was always largely devoid of social bullshit, that's why the fandom was more united. Now that they're hammering in SJW stuff at every turn, it's pissing people off. We want to watch movies to ESCAPE our shitty world, not be assaulted with it during a movie. Yah, I'm not paying Disney to get lectured to by Kathleen Kennedy.

Is there a scene where they get on a shuttle and the droid is forced to sit in the back of it? Then maybe the camera zooms in and a lone tear made of oil falls down its face.

Also remember the jedi used *actual slaves* lol. Imagine if those movies were made these days. The war would be held up while Yoda and Mace Windu debate the ethics of using clones. The clones would protest and demand clones of other races be created. And why no female clones? We need diversity.
