Who are they going to recast him with or deal with the glaring consistency issues when he is replaced in future JL movies?

If they replace him with Nightwing I'm ok with it, its about damn time they focus on other Batman characters.

Maybe. Despite the abysmal reviews, the films make money, Which is all that matters for the studios, TBH. But I imagine eventually people will stop showing up, a la Transformers if they just keep dishing out turds.

Although, I still have high hopes for James Wan's Aquaman, despite everything.

The DCEU cannot afford another Bvs/SS mess.

I mean of course they make money. Every single one of them has starred Batman, Superman or Wonder Woman (or related characters in the case of SS).

But surely even from a financial point of view they must be asking why none of these shared universe films are making as much as Batman was previously making on his own.

A lot will depend on JL, but I just don't see the DCEU lasting as long as the MCU has. I mean it will be post JL, yet they only have 1 film out next year.

This right here. If WB can keep releasing movies that appeal to audiences something close to the level of Wonder Woman, they'll be okay.

If Justice League is in the same ballpark as BvS, that will be the point of no return, and WB can then say they killed a franchise that should've defined the pop culture zeitgeist of our time.
