What he's selling to the American people isn't his business success ratio, because that's not going to matter in politics, what he's selling is the abstract concept of success itself. Yeah he's not 100% successful, but he's more successful than the average citizen would see in 200 lifetimes.
I remember back in 2004, I was only 12 and I was writing a list of the 200 Greatest People to Ever Live, and on that list was Alexander the Great, FDR, and...Donald Trump. Why Trump? The lead witness that destroyed the prosecutions case was dismissed by this judge who's law group laraza has donated hudreds of thousands to the clintons. The DA has also donated major money to the clintons.

Now I wonder if John Oliver also did a video about Clinton University. Or hell, he's dedicated large segments of his show to things about Trump. I can't recall him ever doing that for Hilary and I've seen a lot of episodes.
I'm honestly shocked people ever had a problem with Trump being able to "say anything" without a blow back, but with Hilary people won't even talk about it.
