The beginning is more important. If Superman flew over there and started pounding on an unprepared Zod, then that makes things different. It appears Zod was even fighting back.

It had to have been that fight because Superman and Russian Zod fought again in space and that was interrupted by a Probe.

Also, not sure why being unprepared matters. Kryptonians are famed for their speed, after all.

Not to mention, you see Zod punching Superman (the first Poooom). Then Superman is bleeding from his nose (you can see that famous spit curl) in the next panel.

Note Supes' words. A fraction more pressure and he'd have snapped his neck. That's skill there, actually - I mean, I have no idea how much pressure I need lol.

Many people won't admit it but Superman will beat thor handily in H2H.
I'm not a fan of either but that is my unbiased opinion.

In regards to pressure points, not sure that will work against Thor. He's had a low showing against Mantis(street level strength) and had one against an opponent who has physically tangled with Hulk and Adam Warlock and literally had no effect on him. Because of that I'm not fully sold that will work 100 percent.

yeah, i tend to agree that supes take a heavy majority in this type of match. just sooooo many more pure strength feats, while so many of thor's are inferred due to how he's performed relative to other strong guys.

Even in durability, he far outstrips Thor with showings like these.

Doomsday was oneshotting heralds like Orion there. Superman took twelve free shots to the face after taking a huge energy blast from the Coluan city which packs some serious power.

This is just an example. He routinely fights beings who oneshot other heralds.

Thor doesn't.

It's not silly. It's actual fact based stance. Thor can't knock out superman with punches.
