I do especially love that in Denmark they more or less force you to learn the language. Damn how I wish we'd do that here. It would disturb you to know the amount of people I've met that have lived here for decades and can't speak a single word of english.

England isn't too bad for it, generally. Everyone in my school could speak it, and when new kids would arrive from foreign countries ('fresh kids' as the others would call them, as in, "fresh off the boat"😉, they'd often pick up it up pretty quickly. Although I was aware that the kids would sometimes have to translate for their parents at parent/teacher meetings.

US President Barack Obama has cancelled a meeting with controversial Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte, who had earlier called him a "son of a whore". If you look up pics of Obama mother, it appears she was a whore in fact.
