Alabama Closing DMV Offices in Counties with 75% or more registered black voters
"Every single county in which blacks make up more than 75 percent of registered voters will see their driver license office closed. Every one," Archibald explained. "But maybe it’s not racial at all, right? Maybe it’s just political. And let’s face it, it may not be either… But no matter the intent, the consequence is the same.' -snip
I'm sure it's all just a coincidence.
Voter suppression like this is nothing new.
It's often the case that fewer voting locations are opened in minority areas, so minorities get hour-long lines while a few counties over white people get in and out with two minute waits.

That's one of the things about modern racism- Plenty of people are willing to do stuff that drastically disproportionately affects one race, especially black people, as long as they have a justification other than race.
The era of 'string 'em up/ethnic slurs' racism has faded, but that kind of racism is still common and strong.
IF this is a Political reason then it is ok. The Dems will be legalizing some 20 million illegals soon so thus they won't need the blacks any more. And the Democrats have a long connection to racist policies. They were the party of the Confederacy and the party of segregation and the Klu Klux Clan.
Historical Fact that you can all look up yourselves.
HAVE FUN!
Originally posted by SurturI've been looking online and they these particular DMVs were targeted because of government funding cuts. They also said these DMVs were doing the least amount of business and that is why they were targeted specifically. I did not find anything confirming that statement as true or false.
So did they even bother to try to give a reason for doing this?
Originally posted by SurturI think they were the only ones in their area to begin with and they still weren't doing much business. Also apparently the cost of a license in Alabama went up like 52% or something like that.
If it's about business then wouldn't logic dictate you leave one or two open and then people won't have a choice but go to those two..thus you have guaranteed business.
Of course I would like to believe them and say this was not politically or racially motivated but you never know in this day and age. It sounds like an investigation is guaranteed to happen in this case hopefully they can get to the bottom of it.
