No offense but, "in this day and age"

We live in one of the least racist days or ages ever...

They are closing satellite branches, per the article thus the hub is still around which I'll guarantee is in an "urban environment."
----
Before we jump on the, "dem racist" bandwagon how about we look at it logically, this is a poor/rich issue or closing the local satellite branches don't matter. On top of this is the fact that if the branches weren't getting business before they were closed and the state has a budget crisis it makes 100% sense to phase out redundancy.

I'm OK with not letting them vote until they get their shit together.

That does not negate my statement that in this day and age those can still be factors.

But if you want me to change it for you. The possibility of this being racially or politically motivated is something that is plausible given the current atmosphere of our country.

Thus this should be investigated to validate their claims that these branches were as redundant and under performing as they stated to make sure that this wasn't racially or politically motivated.

IF this is a Political reason then it is ok. The Dems will be legalizing some 20 million illegals soon so thus they won't need the blacks any more.

Why would disenfranchising voters ever be ok?

Hey, we could get rid of immigrant votes all together and leave it entirely to the Native American population 🙂

And the Democrats have a long connection to racist policies. They were the party of the Confederacy and the party of segregation and the Klu Klux Clan.
Historical Fact that you can all look up yourselves.

HAVE FUN!

Sure, there was a huge segment of the party called the 'Dixiecrats,' the Southern racist block of voters if you will.

In the 60s there was something in politics called the 'Southern Strategy' where due to Democrats embracing civil rights and Republicans not, the Dixiecrats switched sides and joined the Republicans.

You can see the before-and-after campaign maps where back in the day, the Northern/Urban populations were Republican and the Southern/Rural were more Democrat, then it switched as the Republicans snatched them up.

Like you say, it's not remotely news.

Which is not remotely the same as not-racist 🙂

It just means racism tends to be the more subtle, favoring-one-group-over-another, putting-obstacles-which-disproportionately-affect-some-groups types, rather than open and loud racism.

Statistically, it exists, and exists in significant quantity.

Black people with clean legal records get hired at about the same rate as white convicts. Hispanic and black neighborhoods are likely to have less access to voting locations. And so on.

I agree with everything you say here except for your first two sentences. Obama has made our country more racially divided than ever. This BLM nonsense is a hypocritical racist group themselves. I think this black reverend sums it up pretty nicely:

*waits for some liberal to come along and accuse that black reverend of being racist now because he spoke poorly of Obama*. LOL.

I think we are a more pc, thus more racially mindful.

I think that gives the illusion we are on the brink of a race war
