Lol Dooku's accomlishments as a duelist are well known. What has Revan ever done with a saber that even suggests he is comparable? You do realize that its the pretender that needs to show his worth. In other words, should I make arguments that Dooku can defeat Starkiller in a duel or is Starkiller a much less renowned duelist that needs to show his worth. Same with Revan.I understand a lot of people really really like Revan but they need to grasp the reality that he's not a duelist that can defeat Maul or Kenobi for a majority in a sabers fight, no matter people in Dooku's league

Revan is not hyped for his dueling skills but underestimating him in this area is foolish.
Revan's dueling skills might be archaic but he should be deadly in this area. His precognitive abilities and command of the Force are stuff of legends.
Count Dooku is also not renowned for inventing new moves or such, his dueling skills are also archaic:
The other was former Master Dooku, whose own fighting style was archaic, yet stunningly effective.

Knowledge of several Forms of Lightsaber combat or inventing new moves do not guarantee superiority in a Lightsaber duel for a Jedi. The ability to perceive moves of an opponent with greater clarity coupled with the ability to react faster than the opponent enables a Jedi to countering the moves of an opponent in an effective manner and eventually outduel him.
Palpatine slaughtered the likes of Kit Fisto, Agen Kolar and Saesee Tiin not due to (supposed) superiority in dueling skills. Palpatine denied them the opportunity to maneuver with preemptive assault and overwhelmed them with sheer speed and ferocity.
