Wait why is Columbus worse then Hitler?
I only highlight Columbus because he (still) has a day dedicated to him, even though we know about the terrible things he personally did... like bragging about how he was able to break the spirit of Native American women by continuously raping them into submission. Like Hitler, he burned people alive... but worse ("worse" being subjective, of course) than Hitler, when his slaves tried to escape, he sicked dogs on them, captured them, then cut their hands off and made their children wear them around their necks.
the dude was a straight up movie villain.

why tf is this still a thing?I'm pretty sure everyone, particularly people in government who have the power to disavow National holidays, know what a heinous person Christopher Columbus was... seriously, the guy was arguably worse than Hitler and anyone associated with ISIS. So why are we still (or ever in the first place) dedicating a day to this guy?
Its like when homo sapiens came in contact with Neanderthals. The more evolved species won.
Darwinism in action!

The things Hitler did(or the things he had people do) are actually..well, making kids wear chopped off hands is sort of meh compared to some of the shit the Nazi's in general did.

Imo, while ordering people to commit atrocities is (obviously) terrible, doing them first-hand, like Columbus, is worse.
