Warcraft (2016)

Seems that the consensus is that it might not get a sequel.

450M would be good for a sequel of the movie wasn't uber frontloaded in nearly every market. That would indicate to a studio that the sequel would experience a big drop off.

It's a shame this movie is doing that badly. Don't get me wrong, it was garbage but I was hoping it would do well enough to get a sequel. WC has some cool lore that could lead to some fun films.

Yes, but they can always trim the budget for the sequel. Or straight to home video, which is what they do to some franchises.

It probably will get a sequel after Blu-Ray sales come in.

I'm sure foreign numbers for that will be good, but that doesn't sound like the studio is very confident if it has to wait for DVD sales.

Most successful video game film of all time and had a fantastic Chinese opening weekend. That's a huge market and only growing, Golgo.

RE made 3 times it's budget, sometimes more. I don't think Warcraft will be that successful. They NEED to trim the budget for it to make more profit.

At the rate it's going, Warcraft will probably be the second, third most successful VG movie.
