See, I kinda believe him. Think about Iraq for a moment- He was a big Neocon who supported the war, on the idea that after we kicked Saddam out, they'd all love us and greet us as liberators. Which then kinda evaporated as we didn't treat them all that nice and their country was still full of bomb holls, but I digress.
So, his ideology isn't "Muslims are bad," it's more along the lines of, "If we take out bad leaders in the region, we can get the people there to convert to capitalism and loving the US and rah rah rah!". They're potential recruits/allies, if only they can be shown how great we are.
His ideology has a lot of flaws, but it makes sense to me that this is his honest belief, and he honestly has major deep-down objections to this kind of thing.
(Btw, a minor note about cynicism on politicians- some cynicism makes sense, politicians are calculating after all, but it does pay to make note of what people say, because while some of it's calculated, just about every politician will include their real ideology in there, and will rarely say stuff they actively disagree with)
so you believe the iraq war was genuinely about helping the iraqi people?
because i seem to remember that initially it was more about taking out what was considered to be a threat to american interests and at the very least was a fierce geopolitical rival.
either way, i am convinced that this is more about donald trump than it is about muslims. he only came out of the woodwork to diss trump because he is more concerned about the republican party than anything else.

Trump is 100% right we need a total ban on all Muslim immigration, infact all immigration should be banned right now because of the economic depression were in. Cheaney/KARL ROVE is a total NEO CON liar/nutcase and got millions of Americans killed in Iraq so idgaf what he says.
