I can't believe I missed this gem.
Why does Star bother posting in this site if he has everyone on ignore.
He tries to act holy but only demonstrates his lack of belief and faith when he calls anyone that disagrees with him a troll and blocks them.

If he were a true Christian he wouldn't coward.

Doesn't bother me and ima Christian. 👆

Well, this petition failed miserably. And I am glad.

It's funny how some Christians always use the "think about the children" angle to enforce & back their beliefs...

Christians sure breed a lot of impressionable children.

I watched the first episode. It was good.

That argument always irks me. What they are saying with the whole "we're doing it for the children" thing is that they feel that they can make better decisions about what a stranger's child should and should not be exposed to than the child's actual parents. Kind of insulting really.

Insulting, perhaps, but probably correct given the oft repeated statistics of delinquency, crime, violence, teen pregnancy, etcetera , prevalent among young people today.. Popular culture does not a good parent make.

Popular culture doesn't make a good parent, but religious people sure do love to use it as a scapegoat to blame some of their kids problems on. See because then their own parenting isn't at fault..it's the gosh darn entertainment!

Bwahaha, good. I hope the show lasts long enough to get syndication., that would really piss them off. It probably won't last that long, but I can still hope.

I'm actually going to watch this show tonight😂

So when you inevitably decide to worship satan as a result of watching this show remember to capitalize the word "Lucifer" when you get it tattooed on your chest.

Star admits to "letting filthy sexy sluts suck me off" in his profile

So I think I'll be ok in watching this show and avoid eternal damnation.

Lol Star has probably never kissed a girl who wasn't a blood relative.

Except it is just being used as a poor excuse to target a specific show they don't approve of. If people want to blame any negativity associated with the youth on pop culture and media, then they should cut off access to all potentially harmful media, not just a specific show that conflicts with their personal religious views.

And I dare anyone here to find an actual responsible parent, who does make an effort to make sure their children are brought up right, who would like a total stranger telling them that they know better what said parent's children should and should not be exposed to. Because while there are a lot of instances of violence, pregnancy etc. among teens/kids, there are also plenty of normal, well-raised, well-adjusted youths. But you won't hear about them because they aren't stirring up any shit, just living their lives.

I'm gonna take a wild guess & say that you're not a parent yourself.

I'm a parent & I honestly find your comment ignorant & naive.

Screw the statistics. I raise my son to the best I can & no one's ever approached me to be part of their survey.

Star just forgot to mention they're "'filthy sexy CHRISTIAN sluts..."

This show sucks, why am I still watching this!

Probably because at one point Lucifer calls a little girl a hooker? Then tells her to ask her mother what a hooker is.

Being a parent would also bias you against many complaints against parents, wouldn't it?

And the response of "Screw the statistics" suggest you're reacting to this primarily from emotion and personally.

However, speaking secularly, most of the problems associated with what I was suggesting pertain to American youth, who are often being raised in single parent families or families where fathers are notoriously absent or present but mentally checked out.
The facts of you being Australian and Male and trying to raise your kid as best you can according to yourself already put you in a different class.
I'm even willing to wager your country is a bit less extreme and liberal than ours, especially if some of the national votes on issues like gay marriage are any indication.

But all of the above is only speaking secularly.

The perspective of this thread is a religious one, and the original poster one who calls himself Christian and who has also stated he firmly believes in both an Abrahamic God AND the Devil, both as real beings.

From that perspective, if you are secular and non-religious, you are uninformed. It cannot be otherwise.

If a believer who encourages prayer and study and quality time with your family, then your kids are probably not watching this show to begin with.

If they are, they likely have at least some idea of how potentially dangerous a steady diet of such fare is from the Biblical perspective and will avoid it after awhile.

I'm not being biased, I just find your perspective that shows like this can persuade a child to the "evil side" a bit naive.

I can't speak for all parents & children & I won't hide or use statistics & surveys to judge whether I'm a good parent or not.

You may come to the same conclusions one day when you become a parent yourself.

Yes, there are dysfunctional families worldwide but you're implying that America's youth has a higher risk of turning to Satan by watching this show?

And the original poster who started this thread & calls himself a Christian is one of the most racist, arrogant & ignorant posters on a message board that I've come across in a long while. I honestly think & hope other Christians would be ashamed knowing he was in their side.

Lastly, this is just a show.
A crappy one by what reviewers are saying.
It's not going to brainwash children...if you were a parent, you'd have more confidence in your own child & your way of upbringing them.
It's called Faith.

Not Blind Faith.
Just simply Faith.
