This whole petition business reminds me of the shit they do in conservative Muslim countries where shows and movies get banned for content that doesn't jive with Islam. Christians need to back off and let people have their fun. We have the right of artistic expression, even if it's probably mediocre artistic expression in this case.

I will still ask what I asked before: why can't someone who doesn't like the show simply not watch it? If you don't want your kids to watch it then perhaps parent them?Block out FOX all together. Trust me you'd be doing your kids a favor because this means they also won't be exposed to FOX news.

Do people really think Fox is going to care about 40k people signing a petition if this show actually ends up making them money?
Of course not but the series hasn't started yet. So how do they know it's going to make money? I know this petition is a long shot. Let's be honest, most petitions are but I felt it was my moral duty as a Christian to at least do my part by signing it and giving it a shot. It's not like I won't be able to get over the fact if this show does air. I expect it will even if the goal is reached but if it works it will be a pleasant surprise. It's still my opinion, as it is with most real Christians who know about this (obviously not everybody does or there'd be a lot more sigs), that this show will be a very bad influence on younger people and you can bet that God won't be pleased. Of course, you could probably say that He's already displeased with our country on some level but this will make it much worse. It's akin to spitting in His face.

So then tell people not to watch the show, it doesn't mean you petition to get it canceled. Some people who are adults or are not Christian might enjoy the show. The show won't physically or mentally harm the religious community.
Also, just want to add that the fact that a well known tv station is about to air this pretty soon (sometime next year) is yet another obvious sign to me that we are nearing the "End Times" propheseid in the Bible. Ten years ago it would've been unthinkable to air a show like this, which glorifies Satan, during prime-time in a nation which was founded on Christianity. I don't care if it's based on some comic book character (has anybody even verified this yet?), it still glorifies God's greatest enemy.

Apparently, this isn't the only online petition to get that show cancelled. Some group called "One Million Moms" or something similar has been trying even longer it seems:
They seem to be upset (rightfully so) that Satan is portrayed as a harmless good guy who is just "bored with Hell" and so decides to become human and interact with them. The article also makes it clear that this show is, in fact, based on the comic book character. Which changes nothing, of course, as far as this being a bad influence for children and others with very impressionable minds.
