As to this thread, Luke is literally the most powerful warrior in the galaxy currently. What the **** is Rey supposed to do but die? If she could defeat Luke there would be no point in finding him. I mean I guess she could cry or something, and he'd feel bad enough for him to leave an opening, but that's about it.

Luke effortlessly rag dolls this mary-sue character called Rey, though I bet Disney will do something silly like make her the most powerful character in the mythos eventually.

She has some staff fighting experience going in.

Yeah, and Luke has saber training and experience as well as a few Force showings by the start of ESB now. I don't see Rey taking on multiple magnaguards as long as Luke did, and this was before saber training.
