I take back my statement. Just looked at the scene again and he threw the Pillar 1400 miles.

Tao is considerably weaker than Thing or Colossus (or at least Colossus, I'm not super familiar with many of Thing's feats). He is also much less durable. Speed and ki blasts are all he has going for him in this fight, but they may be enough to win.
