The Mountain vs Bane (Nolanverse)

I would even venture to say that Bane is more durable than Mountain, and Mountain is pretty damn durable. Reason being, Batman was only able to gain the advantage once he compromised Bane's mask. The mask suppressed pain and basically pumped adrenaline through him. The reason Batman in the movies and comics why he lost the first fight, it always comes down to him being unable to hurt Bane. Bane just absorbs it all. Being that there is no mask exploitation, I'd say his durability is better, or at the very least, equal. Then why you factor in how strong Bane is, again comparable, then I see it as Bane's speed wins him the day. He's clearly faster and more skilled of a h2h fighter than Mountain. That's how I see it.

Baleman wasnt doing too bad in their second encounter. The reason Baleman did so bad in their first encounter is because he was retired for years and had bad knees, and most likely way out of fighting shape.
If you watch their second fight that is where Baleman caught Banes punch and matched Bane strength. And even hurt Bane with an uppercut after he overpowered/redirected Banes punch/arm.
After that is where Baleman damages the mask.

In the movie you clearly see Baleman hurt/stagger Bane with his punches in the second fight.
Its obvious that Bane couldnt easily beat Baleman once he was in better shape and ready to fight Bane.

The mask was to suppress the pain. This was all that was stated in the movie.

tough all. bane IS a member of the league and a very well trained killer who should be given the benefit of the doubt wheni it comes to speed and skill

the mountain is VERY strong and I think we can all agree stronger then bane in most physical aspects (debate that if you want)

un armoured I give to bane 5.3/10 due to banes training with martial arts and technique with hand to hand locks and what not.

this being said any fight where the mountain has armour and a weapon (this guy already has some impressive damage soak UN ARMOURED) then the mountain dominates , not hard but he raises the bar up quite a few rungs.

the bonus round with batman... Time put a youtube clip in the first page showing how bats had a batarang type gadget designed to release the fear toxin, used on him by ras al guhl, around the target (in this case bane) bane says it works on those not admitted to the league there fore we can assume the gas works on the mountain.. gas attack and batarangs with a lethal edge on the mountain... I see bats winning this

those weren't fear gas pellets just regular flash bangs, hence why Bane refers to "theatricality and deception"

His damage soak was above average cause he had armor on.

It took a tank round to put Bane down.

Bane wins hands down.

well lets be fair now, it didn't take a tank round, that was quite overkill, nothing is there to suggest that was needed to kill him, I'm sure a shotgun round to the face would have done the job just as well

A pistol round would have put Bane down. Or a hard enough knock on the skull. He wasn't some uber monster.

I'm pretty sure Batmans fists took him down just fine before Catwoman rolled up and murdered him.

I don't recall bane using that Toxin on Batman.

bane loses the second round, Bats I still maintain the smoke from the encircling batarang was the fear gas used in the mountain temple by the league to initiate members. makes sense as Rah's mentiones its theatricality in the first movie an d bane claims it doesn't work on those initiated to the league

truth be told I forgot banes mask suppressed pain and gives him a numbing to it. with that added bane takes round one with a bigger win but only round one
