the most successful villain was ben kenobi. what a POS he was.
guy fails to kill his mortal enemy, so he cooks up this zero-chill revenge scheme with yoda to train the guy's own son to kill him, while lying and manipulating said son to believe that he was killing his father's murderer. his thirst for vengeance is so powerful that he cheats death to continue encouraging son to kill father.
and he won!
Originally posted by Rebel95So you admit Maul was his own man and tried to deceive Sidious. This wasn't the first time. Maul broke free from his captivity and was against Sidious. He never stopped hating him. Sidious chose the traitor who killed him who was a Jedi underneath it all. Palpatine was stupid.
Maul was a pussy and acted like he did everything for Sidious. Sidious saw through that and killed savage and took Maul captive. He could've taken him in as his apprentice again but he didn't, because Maul was weak. Lol
Originally posted by Rebel95So he died a good guys a Jedi not a bad guy. He was emotionally weak and vulnerable hence his initial fall to the dark side. He wasn't a Sith but was seduced there by Palpatine. Maul was always a bad guy with or without Sidious.
Vader failed as a villain yeah. But he destroyed the sith which is far more impressive than anything maul has ever done

He based everything on the 'only?' reference he had was leia inserting the disc in R2?.......
He should have actually watched ANH and listened to 'ALL' the dialogue.....

They all lost, didn't they? And yes, misread. Making Luke the real Chosen One. After all, he was the one that resisted the temptation of the Dark Side after first using it to defeat Vader. He showed his daddy the way.
it could be argued that luke was the catalyst for anakin fulfilling his destiny at last. while luke was the one who took the risk, it was still left to vader to decide.
then again i am truly sick of the tired old "chosen one" plot device and hope we never hear reference to it in any future episodes.

It could very well be the best scene in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story— Darth Vader violently pursuing rebels as they try to escape with the Death Star plans. But, as Director Gareth Edwards reveals, the scene fans saw in theaters almost didn't happen
