We should just invade North Korea now, China doesnt have the economic stability to do anything about it. South Korea can then just colonize it afterwards.
Also, we couldn't even think of invading NK unless that's what South Korea wanted. Any war with North Korea is going to end up killing thousands or even tens of thousands of South Korean civilians simply by virtue of all the cities within artillery and rocket range of the border (including Seoul)

Yeah the North Korean populace is all basically dead inside anyway, so there's no real loss destroying and razing their entire country.
Tbh we should have gotten rid of that madman long time ago. Send a task force or something to eliminate him.

China's problem isn't an economic one. It has all sorts of economic leverage over North Korea, or it would if North Korea knew what was good for it. North Korea actually holds China hostage because it knows China's greatest fear is that North Korea collapses, gets absorbed by South Korea, and meanwhile millions of North Koreans stream into China looking for refuge. Also, we couldn't even think of invading NK unless that's what South Korea wanted. China also won't be thrilled about the prospect of having a country, largely in oppose to their interest, with a large garrison of american soldiers, directly at it's backdoor. North Korea in that regard, is a excellent buffer.

That's a secondary concern at this point. China would probably prefer a United Korea under Southern control over the current situation. For one thing, a unified Korea would probably depend less on the USA for security, and in time might even swing more toward China's orbit, or at least become more neutral (there are signs this is already happening now, with deepening economic ties between SK and China and mutual tensions with Japan)
A unified Korea would mean a stronger presence in the region, with a stronger self awarness, and a greater interest in projecting it's power. It would take a more active role in the FONOPS, because it to has disputes with China concerning islands, just like the rest of Asia seems to have. And while they have increased their trade relations, that is a move China has been making for ages, trying to make trade agreements with each country, so in that regard them making a deal with South Korea is only logical. But while we might not agree on the reason, can we agree on that of this point of time, China has little interest in seeing North Korea collapse?
North Korea Launches Long-Range Rocket
Yesterday North Korea fired a long-range rocket despite warnings: http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-35515207
What consequences do you think will come of this? Should the United States install a missile defense system in South Korea and/or Japan, as is being proposed?
