Red Haired had regeneration and could survive in space.And didn't run out of power other then the time limit.
Freeza aint beating him.
While his new form was indestructible. Even if not at 100%. He didn't take damage and when he did he regenerates.
It would not take long to figure out his powers and scale quickly.
And he didn't figure out his regeneration, it happened automatically.
As easy as Goku to down freeze in BSSG, Red hair would only take slightly longer.

There is no definitive proof that Vegeta > Goku except Vegeta's initial strength showing with Whis training them.
Goku fought freeza at his strongest and still beat him.
So as of right now it more then likely is Goku > Vegeta as he faced Freeza at his strongest.
Goku put his SSB powers to the test in an actual death match with Freeza, Vegeta has barely got to use them.
Also Goku got shot and got a sensu bean, and those near death rebounds boost Saijen core ability, that they get stronger after every fight.
So i think Goku is the strongest between the two.

I'm sure Beerus was holding back against Red. Again, Yellow Hair God Goku did better against Beerus than his red hair form. Goku never lost his God amp after his fight against Beerus. He has been training with said power up.
Now the question you should ask yourself is, how is Black Hair Goku so powerful to the point that he can fight evenly against Frieza final form. Also, in black hair mode, him and Vegeta survived an attack from a non holding back Beerus...something that his red form couldn't handle.
Goku never lost said amp. No proof of this. Goku has been training and became more powerful. There's proof of this. Your assumptions is false.

Goku won because he survived long enough for Freeza to run out of power. Not exactly a showing of being stronger just more control of his powrr and able to take a pounding.
And zenkai boosts have been said to be insignificant any longer and pretty much dropped from use. At best they are equal in power.
