I don't really know much about the Ezra controversy. Probably best I didn't as I also enjoyed him in this. 👆 Fortunately as with so many actors, it probably wouldn't have mattered for my enjoyment of the film as the part a person plays isn't them in reality and I can distinguish that easily without it affecting my enjoyment. Good post mate!

This is how I feel about the personal lives of actors/athletes etc

only thing i have ever liked heshe miller in is an old episode of law and order svu

Yeah, that's another problem. He simply sucks as an actor.

Lol Stilt. You know I always hated him as Barry Allen. But hes clearly not a bad actor. His acting in this was actually pretty damn good. Just watch the film.

to be fair
Spoiler:
they made fun of how annoying the Barry character was with older Barry getting annoyed and then playing a much straighter and older Barry from that point on.

Reviewers - even those who enjoyed and recommended the film - don't agree with you here.

To each his own. I feel I have watched more than enough of Ezra's shitty performances and I'm not eager to relive the experience again 😂

He is a terrible "actor", imo. Making people cringe doesn't make him talented.

Never seen We Need to Talk About Kevin? One of the best portrayals of a clinical psychopath on screen ever. Up there with Anton Chigurh in No Country for Old Men and Louis Bloom in Nightcrawler

Superb film. The Flash actor is brilliant in it as is Tilda Swinton as his mum.

You're saying he basically "played" himself? 😛

Also Flash curbs any MCU Avenger

And yet he has trouble with an ordinary man with a freeze gun. 🙄

Marvel's enormous success is rooted in the fact they get us to love their heroes as people first, out of costume. DC is still hooked on the idea that all you need is the costume and the flashy powers and that's enough. It's why the DCEU has been such fits and stalls, RIP.

This is true to some degree. People fell in love with RDJ as Tony Stark. If that doesn't happen then I think marvel would be in the same situation as DC honestly. If the introduction into the MCU was any other movie. I don't think we would be having this discussion.

Captain Cold? He isn't an ordinary man with a freeze gun. lol

Yeah, I forgot about that movie. 👆

Just watched this. I thought it was terrible. The easter eggs are the only decent thing about this film. The storyline was awful. Come up with something better than Zod. How about something original.

After a brief flirtation with some powers in The New 52, he has gone back to just being a normal man with a gun. A tech genius perhaps, but no powers.

What I'm saying is that it's not just a normal freeze gun. lol

Yeah, that's what I said in my original post. He's just an ordinary man with a freeze gun. lol. 🙄

So with this film, DC & Warners have a dubious record. It's the sixth DCEU film in a row that has been a large box office disappointment/and or bomb. The last profitable DCEU film was Shazam! back in 2019. (No, Joker and The Batman don't count, obviously.)

Then you haven't been reading Flash

This is for Roughrider 😂
