It's wrong, unless they were blocking roads.

If so: ya reap what ya sow that's how it go 🙂

"One video posted on Twitter by a user named DataInput shows a dark sedan honking several times before plowing into a crowd of people standing in front of the vehicle. The car lurches through an intersection, leaving a chorus of screaming people in its wake."

So the driver honked and no one moved and he's/she's supposed to just sit there and let them block him/her?

I'm struggling to feel sympathy for people who refuse to get out of the way of cars getting hit by cars.

Just like people here wouldn't feel sorry for someone who refuses to wear a mask getting COVID.

So, let me get this straight people being in the road and refusing to move, means a possible death sentence is O.K? Really?

It's more like...why are you shocked that people who refuse to get out of the middle of the road get hit by cars?

When a lifelong smoker gets lung cancer do you just faint onto the nearest couch?

So you are saying it's fine to drive at someone if they don't get out of the road... Seems somewhat excessive, but that's just me I suppose.

I'm saying don't block roads.

or people will run you down and it's O.K?

This once again reminds me of the property vs people debate. It's not about if I think property is more valuable than people it's about if you think it's worth risking your life trying to loot or damage someone else's property.

It doesn't me really, I just don't see it's O.K. to try and commit vehicular homicide if someone is blocking the road. But, that's surely my liberal sensibilities and value for human life talking.

What if you're driving an ambulance and u need to get someone to a hospital?

Let's think about this, I shall plow into a group of people, perhaps killing and injuring many people, which will require further ambulances and might damage my ambulance preventing me performing this and many other rescues or I shall reverse and seek an alternate route with my lights on. Also, we are assuming the protesters would not move for an ambulance which we have no way of knowing as perhaps they value life too, they are after all protesting against injustice.

If time is of the essence and the quickest route is blocked? What then?

Lets make it personal: one of your kids is dying and needs to get to the hospital asap.

You let them die, then?

Surt, I think you are stretching. I would probably shout," I have a dying kid in my car BLM", and as this is hypothetical the kindly BLM protesters would part for me like Moses and the red sea shouting, "He's saving a dying kid" and the whole bus would clap, emotional music would play and the credits would roll.
