I guess I'm confused because I'm pretty sure attacking a police officer already comes with a heavier punishment then attacking a random civilian.

Attacking a cop due to perceived police brutality issues in the country is a hate crime, to be fair. Plenty of good cops out there just doing their jobs. I assumed the penalty for attacking a cop would be pretty steep anyway, though?

Killing a dog should land you in jail either way, regardless of it being police or no. Some cops seem pretty trigger happy in regards to suspects' dogs these days, which is really sad, especially when the suspect is entirely innocent. But policing is pretty hot in America these days; I'd blame the specific state police groups for not training their recruits well enough, but I'm not one to start banding blame around the place without knowing each specific situations. You never know what someone is thinking, it's all too easy these days to just cast blame on one party or the other, without using an adequate amount of empathy for both sides.

Oh and funny tidbit: some media outlets tried to basically make people think this was just some racist cops using a taser on this poor innocent black woman. Of course they conveniently forgot to mention things like the fact this woman had pulled out a knife. Of course you can also see her refusing to comply with the things the cops are ordering her to do. As well as spitting on the cops, etc. Basically being real classy about it.

You see prior to this she had attacked some people who weren't cops and she had a knife then too..the cops caught up to her after the incident, but because of her incident with the cops she is demanded all the charges be dropped against her lol. Her family members have apparently been seen holding signs that say "hands off black women". That's not even a joke..they actually turned this knife wielding criminal into some innocent person. At this point I can't figure out how they don't care about how much they are embarrassing themselves.

Especially since this literally wouldn't of happened if she'd just complied. Why is this so hard for some people? I don't get it. It's not like the cops are asking a great deal from them. They aren't asking for a kidney or their first born child or part of their soul. They are asking you to shut the f*ck up and cooperate. I have seen actual children capable of cooperating with law enforcement instead of making a scene. Hell the girl KNEW she was being filmed and she still behaved this way. Remember when people used to feel actual shame over their terrible behavior? These days they want to put that behavior out there for millions of people to see.

I don't know many details besides a video. Not sure on the circumstances, seems to be a legit case of police brutality.

Also heard about a second shooting where the guy got pulled over by a cop and then tells the cop "I have a gun" and immediately begins to reach in his pocket and the cop shoots him. He had a conceal carry and was apparently reaching to show that C&C license, but he probably should of shown the cop the C&C license before saying "I have a gun" and then making a grab for something, but again we need more details. At this point I'd say both people made mistakes.

You see I just wish it took more than a white cop killing a black man for people to protest violent shootings.
