However, I could realistically see Galactus simply draining Superman's solar energy reserves--akin to this:

The problem with what you are saying is..it is not okay to talk about those characters you mentioned challenging Galactus. Silver Surfer is far below Galactus, he sure as hell shouldn't be able to do anything to him unless the guy is extremely starved. The same goes for Thor as well. Unfortunately there is some truth to it. Some fans are worse, like DBZ fans can be a lot worse. But I think at least here Superman gets put in a lot of fights and sometimes against people he shouldn't be put up against and you still usually have someone saying he wins.
I realize this is specifically an amped version of the character, but you have to keep in mind that the unamped version still gets built up to epic proportions. This is the first place I ever had to argue against the character so much.
Not you but I have seen lots of marvel fans talking about thor, ss or sentry challenging Galactus as if there was no context behind those showings.
Now is ok if you only think this Superman is merely 100 times stronger, but you are missing the on panel evidence that a full out superman was dropping probes like fleas and that a sun dip will make him 100 times stronger.
Now weather superman gets "build up" on his stories is not like he is the only one who suffers from it (see Silver Surfer, Thor or Hulk) go and see a thread with surfer on it and see how many times aegis and tenebrous are brought up and no one complains about the "build up"
Superman has the feats to back the claims weather prople like it or not. It is on the comics and is part of his canon. The people having trouble digesting this fact, should complain to the writers instead of crying how bad the superman fans are, We are just bringing up facts that are part of his canon history, nothing more nothing less.
It reminds me of an old web site that i used to visit. People in general thought superman was just weak sauce because of the Byrne power down myself included, then some people came along and start posting scans of the things superman has done in comics. And oh surprise the forum starts realizing that Superman is no longer on Byrne power levels, then for some reason since this knowledge shakes established hierarchies a lot of marvel fanboys start b1tching about the superman fans.

Just remember, Entropy Aegis wasn't even able to sever one tendril of Warworld after it got 100 times more powerful than before.
Superman effortlessly broke them while sundipped.
Entropy Aegis was at least skyfather level on itself.

Superman sundipped and effortlessly broke the conduits/tendrils magnified hundredfold in power when normal Superman couldn't take it on at normal level along with several top tiers.
