UNDERWORLD is one of the best franchises next to HARRY POTTER, I think they have done a great job in keeping the identity and concept of the series throughout. A bad example would be the TERMINATOR franchise, except for the two masterpieces James Cameron made - the rest of the franchise was a complete destruction of everything that was unique and groundbreaking with the first two - a bunch of complete amateurs, a clear sign the creatives should run Hollywood not bankers and lawyers!!!

Tobias Menzies is a good actor and it did have a feeling that they're returning to the first film's roots, so that's a plus. Still not expecting much, but will watch.

I hope they get Michael back in there somehow, if Speedman won't come back, just James Bond the role. He's too important of a character.
I'm wondering if that derailed the story a little bit. Kind of a shame. I think Wiseman said he didn't really need him for the 4th film, Awakening (because they wanted to pursue a different angle), and so they didn't bother bringing in Speedman for such a small cameo. I haven't heard definitely that Speedman didn't want to do anymore, so who knows, maybe sometime down the line he'll return.
I feel underworld is ****ing up when it comes to the horror aspect.
That scene when those lycans are climbing down that hallway wall is the exact tone the films should continually carry...
Threatening, scary, awesome.
Now that selene is so powerful im more scared for her opposition than anything in the films 😬
Even super lycan came off a fodder from the get go.
And the action is becoming a wire-fu selene wankfest. Get some damn choreography in these scenes. Drop the wirefu. Make selene appear to be in some sort of danger.
^ Probably a fair criticism, but just by the nature of her character you know she's not really going to die, for the sake of the franchise, until of course they eventually retire her character or 'reboot.'
Initially I wasn't a fan of the Uber Lucan, thought it was a bit unimaginative, but it grew on me and made sense with the direction the story went.

-Enjoyed the first
-Second was meh
-Third was alright, mostly due to Michael Sheen's character being fleshed out
-Fourth was mehNot expecting much from the fifth, hopefully Charles Dance's character has more than a secondary role this time around, probably the best actor left in this franchise now that Sheen and Nighy are gone
Pretty much this. I enjoyed the second likely a little more because Marcus was fleshed out some more... but the ending was just retarded.
