Well one is the effort it took. Two: really Kota just tore of the beam that connected it really, then it just fell. Dooku actually lifted those obalisk and kept them in the air.
Third: Like Fresh said its really hard to imagine any person during the Clone Wars era being able to compete let alone beat Dooku, who isn't Windu, Yoda, or Anakin as of Invisble Hand, and Sidious in any sort of contest.
But it states that Rahm simply raises his hand and laughs off Galen's attack.
"He raised his left hand and with the power of the dark side unleashed a bolt of Sith lightning at the renegade Jedi. Kota only laughed. Raising his left hand in a move that was a mirror image of the apprentice's own, he sent the lightning arcing back to its source." - The Force Unleashed.
Minutes before this Galen kills 4 stormtroopers with his lightning.
It should be noted that stormtrooper armor is insulated against electricity.
It's also noted in one of the various sourcebooks that it's incredibly difficult for even the greatest of Jedi Masters to defend against Force Lightning. I'll attempt to find it.
He also manages to deflect Galen's TK.
"The Jedi general ducked and swept his green lightsaber up and down in a lazy attempt to catch him as he went by. That was a move the apprentice had long ago learned to avoid by tucking his head down closer to his center of gravity and rolling in midair, then kicking himself back at his opponent off the nearest wall. This time he pushed telekinetically as he came, attempting to knock Kota’s feet out from under him before bringing his blade to bear. Again, however, Kota deflected his Force energies back at him." - The Force Unleashed.
Galen's TK by this point was capable of scattering a dozen rebel soldiers along with burying another contingent of insurgents under a mountain of metal equipment.
"A dozen open-helmeted men and women in brown combat uniforms—Kota’s insurgents, the apprentice presumed—came down the hangar’s primary access corridor, sealing the blast door behind them. Baring his teeth, he ran to meet them, eager to take the offensive. Their rifles were no match for the power of the Force. A single, powerful push scattered them like dolls." - The Force Unleashed.
"He felt no need to hold back. Those disloyal to the Empire deserved everything they got. Only when the last was buried under a small mountain of titanium alloy hull plates and reactor shielding did he examine in more detail the equipment they had been carrying." - The Force Unleashed.
Galen's defensive TK is also no joke as he managed to shield himself from the brunt of a railgun explosion that destroyed a TIE.
"A prickling in the back of his neck warned him of a new threat just as a railgun charge exploded to his right, sending bits of TIE fighter in all directions. He deflected the main force of the explosion, but was still stung by tiny pieces of shrapnel down the back of his right hand." - The Force Unleashed.
Do you know how thick, heavy or strong said beam was though or that it was even attached by a beam rather then apart of the station itself?
I understand and to some extent even agree but Rahm rivaling Dooku in force power 16 years after the Clone Wars where he already had a reputation as a fearsome general doesn't seem all that crazy to me.
