I would disagree that he is underrated. His only oscar noms were Rocky and Creed lol. He's not one of those actors who has been nominated a bunch but never won.

Can you remember any of his other performances blowing you away?

He does good action movies. But then IMO you don't need a skilled lead actor to do a good action movie. If you like Sly then you probably shouldn't go look up who won the "Worst actor of the century" Razzie..

Haters gonna hate. He may have a limited range, but I think he's good within that range.

One thing this film has to do is have a great soundtrack and have just the right song in a given scene like the first film did so perfectly.

We have two songs already going from the trailers for Awesome Mix Vol. 2. Arguably three, as we heard one of the songs from Vol.2 at the end of GoTG.

Yeah, the music needs to be spot on again like the first one.
