I agree, they should have had it so that Groot survived at the end, they could have had him weakened or something, I would have preferred that. But who knows, could turn out cool I guess.

I'm disappointed that it seems Thanos won't be showing up though. Though I guess an end of credits scene is possible.

I would really respect him for that decision. Taking a break after nailing 2 films in the franchise.

Unlike Snyder who just won't let it go after 2 films with very mixed reception he's just latching on for the 3rd which is also the biggest film for the DCEU. And he's even trying to latch on for a 4th lol

Waiting for the thanos imperative or annihilation movie, or Beta Ray Bill to show up.

So far we have hints at the power of the Collector (he was able to tank the backlash of the Infinity Stones power and was seemingly only stunned and shaken up)...

Comicbook Ego is either superpowerful (able to face down a Fully Powered Galactus) or a complete joke (gets beat by Heralds)...

Hopefully Ego (and isnt Grandmaster supposed to be in this movie?) doesnt job mercilessly like he does sometimes in the comics and is closer to the "face down Galactus" level character...

Looks like I was mistaken; Grandmaster is appearing in the next Thor movie... 🙂

My interest in the next Thor movie just increased 300%...

Well, I didn't get the casting of Michael Rooker as Yondu for the first film either. But the character got a bit changed by James Gunn and it worked.

Still haven't decided if I'm going to see this yet. A lot of the humor comes across as gimmicky, and none of the characters really resonated with me in the 2014 film.
