i think that i am only KMCer that actually didn't like TFA. so i am cautious about rushing out and seeing rogue one. i will probably wait until i can stream it or DL it

Well initially I didn't hate it. But then the more I thought about what a goofy rehash it was and how much obnoxious advertising is plastered all over everything and what an annoying corporate product it has become since Disney bought it, I have steadily been becoming more and more disgusted with all things Star Bores.

i thought it sucked, TFA is the worst SW movie. You have nailed it on the head. it's a cookie cutter, typical corporate crapfest from disney. nothing good can be said for TFA.

I kinda like Gareth Edwards, his godzilla movie wasn't bad so I will give this movie a small chance.

It probably will not be a refreshing SW story. That's what George Lucas wanted to do when he sold it to Disney, but that's not what Disney wanted to do. They wanted to peddle nostalgia, so you guessed it. Rogue One centers around the stupid fu#king Death Star again.
One can fault George Lucas' prequels for lots of things, but at least they were original stories. Disney is just fu#king it up in a whole new way. The best of both words would have been for Disney to use the rough outline of George Lucas' ideas, but still use old-school filmmaking techniques, miniatures, real-life props/puppets, etc. JJ Abrams mixing in the CG characters when it wasn't necessary was rather annoying also.
Differences of opinions. Disney knows how to make butt loads of cash which means pleasing the general audience. It was Disney that showed the cinematic universe of marvel was viable. Now we see other companies all seeking the same end game. Force Awakens was a huge financial success and while u myself admit it didn't match up with my expectations (i thought it would be the best Star Wars film ever and it was the third best for me) the point is the majority of the general audience enjoyed it.
Disney got people to buy into a new narrative and I expect them to branch off into new territory. Disney makes smart business choices and for anyone to say otherwise is just not accurate. You're free not to like it as I do believe opinions are fine but Disney is great at what they do.
