Well, I wasn't necessarily going to go that far, but you're probably right. For these sorts of movies, yes. The first three are masterpieces of pulp masculine action-adventure. The 4th is an abomination of old-fartery.

I always thought GL was better at producing than writing or directing. That said, he did come up with the "how about aliens" for the 4th film.

Spielberg seemed to just hate his life so much he said "f*ck it okay George". If Spielberg can't even tell this man "no" who the hell can?

Last i heard Lucas & Spielberg will be involved, Unless that has changed

i can understand not wanting Lucas how he's gone the last few years, But at least keep Spielberg.
